Left a voice mail. Its WE Energies calling to apologize for the power outage at a random address that doesn't belong to me, but is on the other side of town. Either they have the phone number in their database wrong or they are trying to elicit a call back. Shows up on cid as Toll Free Caller

WE Energies outage caused by equipment problems. Apology left on machine, by a machine.

I received a simular call. I had reported a power outage earlier that day. When I made the report I was informed that the outage was effecting about 1700 users. The outage was early in the morning 0400 hous and it was repaired in about 2 hours. Thus, many customers missed it. Because I am on a time of use plan I needed to go around and adjust the timers I have on appliance like the dehumidifier and air conditioner that I only run during the time periods when the electric rates are low. I am not sure the electric company can identity exactly which hohses were effected and may call the everyone that was potentially without power.

This call is from WE Energies.  It is a recording regarding a power outage.  Legit!

Received a call from 800-662-4797 in Spanish stating my electric bill was 2 months overdue.  The man stated he was calling on behalf of the city as a third party company.  I questioned which electric company he represented, he stated again he represented the city,  I questioned which electric company and city and he could not answer and hung up.   **SCAM**

I'm in Tampa Bay area of FL.  If this is a legit number, there's no reason I would be receiving calls in FL.  Seems "scammy" to me!  I didn't answer it.

Left 3 minutes of silence on my answering machine.

Called my cell, did not leave message. Verizon lists as Robo Caller.

Call showed up on caller ID as "UNKNOWN NAME" so I didn't pick up but it was a legitimate informational call from We Energies (a Wisconsin power utility) about a 2-hour power outage this AM. They probably call ALL customers in a given service area even if they weren't affected.
HOWEVER, under other circumstances this number could be spoofed so, if it is not about an outage and you have doubts about any other message, call them back!

Got a recording from this number saying they will shut off power etc after 30 minutes. Don't believe this crap. Hang up. Call your energy provider if your unsure. Scammers spoof numbers. (spoof means change the caller id to what ever they want it to show to make it look legitimate when it's not)
