    Claimed calling from Verizon, and someone used my information registered and signed up a new number, the number has been reported because it sent out fraud messages to multiple ppl.

    Obviously not Verizon, as they would have called the new number that was signed up, not you. Scammers come up with all sorts of angles to trick people out of some money or personal info for identity theft.
