Received a call from a woman named Victoria something about a civil law suit. Hung up

Kathie stated that they were filing a civil judgment against me due to a past due T-Mobile bill from 2007 (which I wasn't even aware of). They stated that I owed $652.68. I couldn't find any information online about this comany and their documentation emailed to me was questionable (zip code on address was incorrect, misspelled words & I could not find their phone numbers in the reverse directory lookup online) -- this made me feel uneasy and thinking it was a scam. I ended up contacted T-Mobile and they stated my bill was actually $357.11. I was able to pay T-Mobile directly for the actual amount (instead of $300 more).

I received a call from this number and they something about a law suit.

said a civil suit was filed against me. case number 17k306. have no idea what this is.  i am an invalid and am worried
about what this is.  they would not give me any information.

Received a call from 281 676 1257 the lady said  there was a complaint about me and I had to call 800 676 1257 to get info on law suit against me. I called the number and the guy on the phone wanted to collect money from an 11 year old debt that I had contested. He said I would be    served to go to court.  I am a person whom has no monetary income, due to incapabilities.

Soemthing about a civil suit from t-mobile. i havent been with tmobile for a decade. I asked for the SOL date, they provided incorrect information (for Arizona.) I requested original documents be sent to me, guy said "yes," then hung up on me. Shady

I received a call about a civil complaint against me. And they gave me a reference number. I never called back. I believe this is a scam. Be careful

The company is called ServePro and they buy up old debt from various companies.  Some of the debt is so old that it can not be legally collected on.  This kind of debt is often referred to as ZOMBIE DEBT.  In most states, the statue of limitations on a debt is 6 years.  After 6 years, a company will not (in most cases) pursue legal action against you.  If they did, the case would be dismissed once it was established the state of limitations had expired.  Request that they (or any company) VERIFY THE DEBT.  They will give you the date of last payment, or the date the account was closed.  If it is beyond 6 years, then they cannot pursue legal action.  If it is beyond 10 years, they cannot report it to the credit bureau.

These people are the lowest of the low... they are nothing more than old bubble gum on the bottom of society's shoe.  They threaten you by saying they will serve you with legal documents.... they won't.  They prey on people who do not know their legal rights.  Demand that they verify the debt.  They have to stop trying to collect on it until they do.  Once they verify the debt and it's more than 6 years old, advise them that the statue of limitations has expired and request that they cease collection attempts.  If they persist, send them a registered letter asking that they cease collection attempts and place your number on a DNC due to the debt being beyond the statue of limitations.  If they still persist, report them to the FTC.

Thanks Goodness that i read your message, just got a call from the pro-serve (305-280-0853) and they actually gave me a civil compliant number and instructed to call, 1-800-676-1257.   The person at this # said that they are with the ADR group and wanted to verify my ss # before giving me more information.   I got suspicious and "said, no".  I blocked their phone #.

Received a phone call from (716-725-7116) was instructed to call (800-676-1257) then told there was a civil complaint against me. asked what it was pertaining to and was told the gentleman was only a secretary and couldn't tell me anything.  I believe this is a scam and will not answer return phone calls.

Got 2 calls back to back.  One hung up after one second.  Second call tried to intimidate me.  Won't stand for that.  It was SERVE PRO, a debt collector trying to make me think I was going to be served.  DON'T LET THEM SCARE YOU INTO THINKING THEY CAN DO THAT....BECAUSE THEY CAN'T....THEY ARE JUST, JUST, JUST A BILL COLLECTOR.

I called my mother and now she's worried to death that I'm involved in something that's going to get me in trouble calls like this need not get to my mother or anybody in my family

Serveco or Servepro is a SCAM! I have filed complaints with the Oregon Attorney Generals Office the number that called me was a spoofed number from Astoria Oregon 503-468-1875, the skank threatened legal action, while I laughed at her, she got irritated & curt with me, when I told her that she was a scam, she screamed at me that she wasn't any scammer. I said, said every scammer ever. I was advised that the actual paperwork must be served to you in person & not some twit calling you on the phone. I suggest you hang up, by law they can't call you again, if you tell them to stop calling. The thug that called me, did it everyday she will be filed with harassment  charges.

Just called me and asked me to pay a bill from 1995. I think they are scam, because 1995 i was not in united state

SCAM...Same as others they call every few months on some cell phone bill they are claiming wasn't paid from US Cellular that hasn't been around for years and it was paid. Saying I owe something like $500 and they are going to sue. I never heard anyone suing for $500. They always call from some spoof local #. Tell them to go scratch. Waste of time. BTW They have called my father who is 75 years old also, and like someone else he was worried something was wrong. These people are just low life scammers.

I received a call from someone from Serve Pro (caller id said Anna TX). I took the call because I do busines with a company called SERVEPRO that helps us maintain our required CEU's for our licensing and they also help us during natural disasters. They then told me that there was a lawsuit to be filed against me and gave me the number of 1-800-676-1257 to call. I did not call, because I know this is a SCAM. I just wanted everyone to NOT confuse Serve Pro with Servepro. Servepro is a legite humanitarian organization.

They just called me with the same BS telling me to call this number . I know my rights and is waiting for them to call again 😠😠😠😠
