- Ted JohnstonOk, this is curious. I dd finally talk to someone at this # last month. They told me my auto pay for my HSBC card had been turned off and I was now behind in payment. I asked the female 'why would I turn off auto pay ? I've had it enabled for years - this makes no sense". She apologized and said she would have late fee cancelled and set me up for 3 months to give me time to reinstate the pay plan. Sounded legit as she knew I had 2 cards from them (one through a work set up and the 2nd was a balance transfer deal).
I don't' believe she asked for any crucial account info so I'm not too worried BUT, on another site, a person claims this 800 # belongs to a company he works for and that its NOT HSBC ! Can't remember the name of the company but it was definitely not anything close in name to HSBC.Also,, after supposedly getting this all straight, I got a call again about an hour later. The guy apologized and said my name might just take a few hours to come off the list and that I shouldn't be getting anymore of these calls from that day on. They did end for awhile but here they are again, repeating the same nonsense. Hmmmmmm......- Caller: HSBC (?)

- WayneKeep getting calls and no one there when I answer and they don't leave messages. I dont know if it is HSBC or Orchard Bank or Capital One or whoever because I keep getting mail from all of them saying my card has been changed to one or the other. I wish they would stop calling.
