Left a message on my phone for a Gregory, asking him to call back to give them more information for a credit application.  I don't know if someone put down the wrong phone number for an application or if this is some sort of scam to get me to call back.

yeah...they also called me about a credit application and to call them back. I never applied for a credit application with them....

Are you kidding me....this number is fir Avant Credit. Right here on 800notes.com this company offers payday/short term loans. Is no stopping this madness? I'm blown away by how many SCAM companies are trying very hard to get your last dollar when things are already difficult. If any kind of lending company calls you and they have an "India" accent...DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY!! DONT EVER BUY A PREPAID CARD FOR THEM. NEVER!! They will steal your money

I use them, the interest is high but I needed the money to pay off some bills and my payments back to them are less than I was paying with my credit cards. The only thing I really like is that there is no pre-payment penalty. The one thing I really don't like is when they call to upsell or offer me a longer term for a smaller payment, but unless you have to do it...don't. You'll pay more in interest and that's no way to get out of debt. I applied for a personal loan through a company that searches through companies to find the best deal. So that may be how some people are getting the calls.  I will say this, I haven't talked to one guy from India yet though and thats nice.  I can finally understand what they are telling me, and if it turns out to be a scam. They are local to the U.S. and that's easy to take care of with the CFPB.

I use them too. They are easy to work with and it was easy to get a loan. I also was referred to them  through a company that matches you with the best offers. I have not had any upsell calls yet, but any company is going to follow up with those.

Some sort of call center. This number has called my office line THREE TIMES looking for someone who I've never heard of. I have sent them to the HR line three times as well and this past time (two minutes ago), I expressed my annoyance with this company. Obviously they do not keep notes because I state I have nothing to do with employment or employee records.

They must do random calling.   We are senior citizens in our 80's and have not had a single debt in at least 35 to 40 years.  We NEVER answer the phone if the call is either unidentified or unfamiliar.

They called looking for me. I didn’t answer and they left a voicemail. I have no idea who these people are.

Called looking for a person I have a restring order against. I changed my number a while ago and keep getting calls for that person.
