Progressive car insurance == missed payment

Progressive called because they had not received my payment.  I am glad they called.  I was able to pay it online with my debit card.

You idiots it is not progressive. This is a phishing scam. Got the same call but my policy was up to date as far as payment. Progressive told me this is not their number.

It actually is Progressive.  I don't know when they started calling for payment.  I'm glad they did in this case because I've been ill and forgot to pay it.  They need to identify the company on the automated call.

I found out this is Progressive calling to remind you a payment is due.  I'm not happy that they didn't identify their company in the automated message.  I've never known them to call for payments.  They should let customers know that they are doing this so they won't think it's a scam.

I just got a call, shouldn't be asking about payment, as I have mine drafted. Didn't leave VM...

This IS and ISNT Progressive.  Let me explain:   For me I was late and my Progressive Auto policy, it was going to cancel in 2 days. So in my case YES it was progressive.   BUT anyone can easily call you from any number at all, people are "spoofing" this number and able to call you pretending to be progressive.  Bottom line is, if you are late, hang up and call progressive direct to make the payment,  their number is 800 895-2886 and for the commercial department, their # is 888 240-9837 Hope this helps!
