Same message everyone else received--I've actually had it happen twice so far....LUCKY ME!  BS recorded message for some scam.. Couldn't agree more with FreeFall---15-20 offers to sell insurance--or cold callingprocess payment companies along with this bozo.

Career Builder only succeeds in giving these clowns legitimate posted resumes from "REAL" job seekers endless opportunities to cold call ect..

I've applied to numerous other postings and nothing back....Does anyone know of anyone actually getting a call back from a job posting on CB??  Just wondering....

    another scammer
I just re-ceived a voicemail from "Scott" too.  Every time I update my resume on CB I get at least 5 calls from Aflac and then more like this.  However, I have found CB useful I have gone on many legit interviews and temporary agencies have helped alot when they contact me via CB.

I got a recorded call from Scott, so I called them. They answered as Certified Sales Jobs. (my caller I.D. only said "800 Service")
WATCH OUT !!  THEY MAY BE GOING BY OTHER NAMES FOR THEIR COMPANY !!
It looks like this company is doing a SCAM !!!  They get your name (your resume) off the career-builder web site.
Then they call you and tell you they represent companies that are hiring.
BUT !! They want to do a background check on YOU before they will present you to a company.
BUT !! There is a charge to do this.
SOOOOO, they tell you the fee is $29, and you can put it on your credit card.
NOW, TAKE A MINUTE AND THINK ABOUT IT !!
You will need to give them your SS#, date of birth, and other information to do a background check.
THEN !! you give them your credit card.
NOW, they have ALL  (YES, ALL) the necessary information on you to SCAM and STEAL your NAME, CREDIT, BANK ACCOUNT and your good REPUTATION !!
DO NOT do it, my friends. DO NOT !!  (unless you have lots of money and your good name to throw away).
I'LL SAY IT AGAIN, THIS IS A REAL LIVE SCAM !!!!

Yes, I also have received a call from this (phony) company (from 'Scott).
MY ADVICE: NEVER, EVER PAY SOMEONE TO FIND YOU A JOB.. AND NEVER, EVER GIVE ANYONE ALL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO DO A BACKGROUND CHECK ON YOU. THAT GIVES THEM THE ABILITY TO BLEED YOU DRY AND LEAVE YOU WITH THE TIME AND EXPENSE OF CLEANING UP YOU CREDIT AND REPUTATION.
I thought CB was a worthwhile site, but not if it feeds money-grabbing phonies like this.
I still believe the best way to a career is going DIRECTLY to a company.
It takes more time, and a lot more work, but even if a particular company isn't hiring, sometimes they have info on who IS hiring (but you have to ask and probe).
And, as far as pharmaceutical/healthcare employment is concerned, try calling your local hospitals and clinics. They know who calls on them and who's hiring.
NOW, let me say a word about recruiting agencies! I worked all of my life in the high-tech field, in both sales and as a field tech ('hands-on'/fix). I jumped around working for MANY different high tech companies. Some I quit, some got eaten up by larger companies, some just went out of business. I tried working with MANY, MANY, MANY, MANY recruiting agencies. BAD NEWS. NO recruiter ever got me a job. These agencies will "USE" you.
Example: A recruiter has ONE position to fill with company "X". The recruiter finds a person who EXACTLY qualifies for the job. BUT, company "X" won't think much of the recruiter if only ONE person is sent to him. So, the recruiter finds several less qualified people to send along with the qualified one to make his recruiting agency look good. And of course, the qualified candidate gets the job. Therefor, ALL of the 'less qualified' individuals have done nothing but wasted their time, efforts and high hopes. Think about that.
In spit of all the resumes, interviews, complements (from recruiters), and PROMISES (from recruiters), NO recruiter ever got me a job. I'm not saying that ALL recruiters are bad. But good luck if you can find a good one!!
I may never have been the 'best' qualified for the job, but EVERY position I ever got, I got myself.
And one more thought. If you go it alone, looking for a position, it shows you have AMBITION!
Good luck to all of you who are looking.

Stupidly I signed up with this company to sell pharmaceuticals, or for them to place me on such job interviews, and authorized them to charge my credit card for $38.  What do you know, they then charged my credit card ofr $97 a few days later.
I called to inquire and they were very surly on the phone, saying they would "look into it", and that they would compare what the sales rep said based on my claim.  Yes, even though I'm a customer.
Then the guy had the nerve to hang up on me.
Beware of this "company" and stay far away.

They called me as well and I believed it at first, like everyone said .... its tough out there. I got really excited too. Then when he asked for the credit card, I said I don't have it with me right now he indicated that he would hold for as long as it takes me to get it. Obviously, it was a red flag and I didn't call back. OMG.. thank god I didn't do it.. :) What a Scam...

I received Scott's call, and got all excited, returned the call today and spoke with Paul Martin in "human resources".  He told me they could place me with a company in approx 30 days, after pre-screening me... The high profile companies they represent do not want just any applicant and prefer them to be  pre-qualified with a background check.  I asked for more info about the company since they are asking for a 29.00 fee.  He had me pull up certifiedsalesjobs.com.  There is no company information what so ever on this website! NOT GOOD to conduct business with a company that cannot be verified.
I told him I would need to get back with him or perhaps sign up on line.  Paul then told me that the 29.00 was at a 25% discount vs. signing up on line.  It would only take a few minutes, and what credit card would I like to use?  Now we are in hard sell mode!  I told him that would be a NO!
So glad I "clued in" looks like a few people did get scammed!  It's so easy to go for it when you are constantly sending out resumes with no results!   Scam, scam, scam!

I too got the call today from "Scott".  When I called I got John on the phone.  John told me that Scott screens the resumes.  I had the same conversation as above how they needed to do the check, etc. and it would only be $29.  After his entire script I proceeded to tell him that I knew that reputable companies do not use recruiting firms that charge the applicant, that the company hiring pays the firm.  He responded by telling me that the company does pay them usually within 30 days.  He completely ignored my point which was that reputable companies would NOT use a firm that charged the applicant PERIOD!  I told him I needed to check with my husband and make sure he was ok with me paying the fee (which was some of the same BS he was feeding me.)  I had NO intention of paying $29, I've been around the block a little and listen to the scam warnings all over tv and the internet and the second he mentioned ME paying anything it put up a BIG RED FLAG.  When I told him that he got very cold and said to call when I was ready to proceed.  I asked about receiving the information by email that he said I would receive and he said I would receive that after paying but I would receive an email with their contact info.  It's now been 5 hours and I haven't received any such email.

They did not get my resume of CB, I actually responded to an ad on Craigslist and sent my resume to them.

BTW, if they were actually a real recruiting firm they would have my resume stored in their system so why did he ask my address, email address, phone number, etc.???  I suspect they simply write down names and phone numbers of potential victims and don't waste money printing resumes or storing them in their system.

FYI, the callback number given by Scott was 800-727-9209 so both these numbers are involved in this scam.

I'm glad to a certain point I'm not the only one getting scammed, and as far as career builders it's not what it used to be.  It is a place for people to get there hopes up but only to be dissappointed to only get responses from insurance jobs to payment processing and other bogus jobs that are commission only.  With companies not willing to invest in any of there sales people and all expenses out of our pockets it no wonder all we see on these job boards are S..t jobs.....
