- Bothered PersonYup...it's a collection agency...most possibly for First Franklin mortgage. Just tell 'em no one lives there by that number and to stop calling.

- chrisusar| 1 replyIts actually First Franklin Loan Services--- if they do not receive payment on the 1st they're calling you by 8am! I have asked them numerous times to stop calling me 4-5 times before 10am! I always pay my mortgage a day before my grace period ends.. they hate it and always demand payment prior to the grace period ending. I have sent in a written complaint.

- LeeYes - its First Franklin - I called and explained a very difficult situation for us at this time and they informed me that if the payment is received on or before the last day of the month its o.k. however, they continue to call to check and see if we are going to send it. They don't like this, however, its better than the option of them taking over the house and it not being able to sell in this market. Times are tough and hopefully they will continue to work with us.

- PegsI receive about 16 calls a day from First Franklin. They call from various numbers in an attempt, I assume, to disguise who they are, or make it seem legal to harass. I do not always have the money to pay my mortgage on the first of the month. If not, then the calls start!!! They begin at 8 am and do not end until 9 pm. It is ridiculous and it harassment and I cannot wait to get out from underneath of this rip off, bogus company. THEY ARE THE WORST!!! They do not care about their customers, they only care about the bottom line....which is money.

- Debt Collector| 1 replyFirst of all it is not harrassment for them to call between the hours of 8 am to 9 pm it is allowed by the law. It is also allowed that they call you as many times a day until you speak to them and discuss your account. Believe it or not you may have a grace period but that is not an extention of your due date. You all signed legal documentation that agreed to your payment being there on the 1st of every month and if you do not like the phone calls perhaps you should work harder to get your payment there by the 1st. Or maybe if you do not like all the calls you should answer on the 1st one and discuss the accound and answer all your calls. They do care about their customers but they cannot help you if you dont help yourselves by communicating with them. The legal documentation that you signed also gives them the permission to call you. If you would really like to know something Ill tell you, because they are a mortgage company and not a 3rd party servicing company they are above the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act that regulates most collection agencies. They do not have to follow these laws but they do as a courtesy to their customers. So it could be a lot worse!!!

- Don replies to chrisusarYeah, I'm behind in my mortgage and they call constantly. I finally wised up and set my phone so that it doesn't ring at all when I get a call from that number-that way I don't have to talk to them. Somehow they traced me to a cell phone used by my brother in law who lives about 200 miles away from me and called him. That's ridiculous.
- Don replies to Debt CollectorJustify it all you want. Collecting debts is a necessary evil, but there is no need or no excuse for calling during the grace period. Call it what you want, but you're a bottom feeder.
