Got a spam message on my company cellphone from a "spamass3@serve.com" saying my credit union card was deactivated and to call this 800 number.  I first checked on-line with my bank and everything is in oder, so I then called the 800 phone number, but not on my cell phone, and everytime it rang twice and then disconnected.  I googled spamass3@serve.com and it came back to a phishing scam with many others reporting the same deal only with a different callback number....

I received an SMS with the same callback phone number. It mentioned a bank that I do not use.

Revd text message on my personal mobile phone stating: Commonwealth Credit Union Alert: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 800-746-3008 to REACTIVATE your CARD. Though I live in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, I don't do any business with Commonwealth Credit Union. My message said it had no caller ID.

I received the same text message on my cell phone.  The call back number however was different.  it was 502-442-7979.  I traced it through yellowbook.com to a landline in Louisville.  But the same search on google took me to a fitness store in Paducah.  the message had no sender.  I have not called the number.

Got a text message on my Corporate Blackberry with the message that my account at Central Illinois Bank has been closed.  That's impossible since  I never banked there!

I was out of town and I got a text message telling me "Alert: your card has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 800-746-3008 to REACTIVATE your CARD."  I have since had my card deactivated.
