They have called at least 5 times every hour for the past 10 hours, looking for someone who is not here.  Cannot get through to tell them that the person they are looking for does not reside at this residence

They called me but when I answered I had a recording telling me to 'please hold' for 5 minutes then the recording told me they had nobody there to take my [***] call! When I tried to call back the # they gave me it says the # can't be reached... Anyone know who this company is supposed to be?

A guy named Nicholas called asking for my husband. His number was blocked. He didn't want to give my ANY information when I asked what the call was about. I insisted and finally he told me his name and said he was calling from FDR inc from Toronto (googled it, and can't find it anywhere). He even wanted me to give him my husband's phone number!

He left a number to call back (1800763-3328 ext 359.
Totally weird. Most likely a scam.... we will NOT call him back ever.

    Totally fed up.
This is one of about 12 phone numbers for FDR. I had a gentleman from here tell me once that he would personally show and TAKE my car if I didn't pay the debt in the next 48 hours. I don't have debt with them. I paid my bill 7 years ago directly to the company I owed it to. The bill in question... $175.00 on a dead Zellers card for 10 years ago. Paid back direct to Zellers and Zellers corp says they have NO dealings with FDR due to the companies legal track record.

Last go round, I called the RCMP and they said they could nothing since it was a Sunday. I had over 24 calls in 12 hours cause thier damn auto system went nuts.

    Good luck guys!

This number calls and when I pick up it is a message saying someone will be with me shortly, however after a minute or so the person then hangs up. I hope it is not some trick to access my # and use it for spam!

    Mac replies to sb
"sb" said; This is probably the third or fourth collections I've had to deal with, and although they may think they may have teeth, 4 collections agencies haven't been able to collect on a 4 year old debt...  Just two years to go before the statute of limitations runs their time out.

Guess what, SB...if you live in Ontario, the NEW statute of limitations already applies in your case!  Under the Ontario Limitations Act 2002, which came into effect in 2004, in the case of any defaults that took place AFTER January 1, 2004, the new statute of limitations is only TWO YEARS!

That's right...in Ontario, if you can duck the collectors for only TWO YEARS, they lose the right to sue you.  The debt never really disappears, BUT it stops being carried by credit reporting agencies after six years anyway.

I got the wierdest call from this number today...no message, just someone breathing heavily...I just had to laugh, because at least it was original!

So if you live in Ontario, and the default date was AFTER January 1, 2004, these @$$holes only have TWO years to sue...if they miss the date, they can go fish.

    Annoyed
These people are driving me nuts.  They have been calling constantly for the past 6 - 8 months trying to get a hold of someone I don't know or have ever heard of.  I picked up the phone once and actually talked to a guy who apologized and said they would remove my number since I'm not associated with the person in question.  Well, that lasted about a month or so, now they're calling again.  Generally I don't answer, but this time it came up unknown name/unknown number.  So stupidity I picked up.  She asked for the person in question, and I told her I spoke with someone from their office, but she was quite snotty, told me I didn't talk to her (duh) and told me to slow down.  I was firm & professional - she hung up on me.  Waiting for the next call... won't be answering.

    I reported them here http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/english/common_contactus.html.

I think everyone should send an email to info@antifraudcentre.ca and get these guys shut down.  They are a total scam in my opinion.  They are phishing for information.
