i got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago asking for adrien(which i think they meant to say my name -->Adriana<-- But everyone pronouces it wrong.

They sell you magazines at a high price.  They sold 5 of them to me for 69.73 or something like that for 15 months.  And at the end of the call they make you do this commitment thing over the phone and said that you can cancel at anytime.  Well, I was just going to call back and cancel anyways, but I could not get through.  It was like the number didn't exist.  I checked my credit card account and they already had my money and I wouldn't let them have anymore of it.  I called my credit card company and told them that I thought that I had been scamed and wanted credit card canceled.  The guy on the phone had the phone number of the scamers and gave it to and it was under a different number.  He then canceled my card and sent me a new one.  I called the new number and managed to get a hold of someone.  I told the woman on the phone that I wanted to cancel, but she said that I couldn't do that because I made a commitment, all she could do is lower the payment to 23.37 (I can't remember), but the length of time that I had to pay was lengthened.  It went from 15 months to 45 months!!!  I agreed and smiled as I closed my cell, knowing that they will never get another payment.

I don't know how they get your number, but I have them under different numbers on my cell phone.  They are:

Put them on your no call list, report them, or even try calling them to what the hell their problem is.  Also google these numbers. I have found several websites for these numbers.

It all Started Happening Just as I Filled Out an Online Survey. It's all a Bunch of ~ Crap!!!  Nothing is  "Free"

I never answer calls that I don't know, least of all a 1-800 # - I wish I could find out who it is!!!

The calls are from a company called EDUCATION ADVANCE.  They got your phone number from an online survey you or someone else filled out.  They have my number from someone else filling out the survey and putting my number.  I now get calls from this company NUMEROUS times daily.  It is a waist of breath to tell them to take your number off the list - they will continue to call.  I'm still getting calls and I'm at the point where I'm about to change my number... Again.  The following are various numbers they have used:

Got calls from them 3 times today. First was that 800-793-0282 number, which i did not pick up... next one was 315-207-4761 which I answered... the person at other end asked for someone with name I could not figure out... so I said wrong number. An hour later another call from 315-207-4761... this time I picked up again... no answer.

I am on not-call-list and some ones is calling me few times at day and do not not leave any messages. Please help to stop them

i called back, it's some on-line college. they're trying to get you to take courses. i told them i was a college grad and would not have filled out any form and they hung up.

Filled out an online survey today ... within a couple of hours I got two calls from this number!  The thing is, the online survey was promoted on my Home Depot receipt (as in, "Go online, answer a short survey to let us know how we're doing, and you could win $5000.00!"). Ironically, there were NO questions about "how Home Depot is doing." But I'm going to tell them now.
Argh!

Four phone calls.  Unwanted calls, and would like them to stop. I tried to call them back and got "all operators are busy" recording.

Went to take an on-line IQ test - but to get your score you have to fill out a survey.  Received my first call today - judging from the comments I'll be getting more.....I just tell them they have the wrong number.

As soon as I completed a "free gift card" form my cell was called-I knew I should have put my home number that I never answer. I called back after reading up on the number and asked to be taken off the list.

Received this call and when I tried returning the call, was left on hold until I finally hung up.

I RECEIVE CALLS BUT NO VOICE MAIL.  I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS AND I WANT IT TO STOP.
