I did not answer the phone.  There was a meassage left from a woman from National Nurses United which she said was associated with the RN Response Network in California.  They are asking for donations to help cover the cost of sending nurses to Haiti.  I am a RN which is probably how they got my number.  I have never heard of this organization but their website is www.sendanurse.org.

NEVER RETURN OR ACCEPT THEIR CALLS.  NEVER GIVE THEM MONEY.  NEVER SPEAK WITH ANYONE CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER. IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS, BLOCK THIS NUMBER FROM CALLING YOU.

Please heed this advice.  Why?  For now, let's just say, that my dog thinks they smell funny and that this is my only reason.  Hopefully, I will have a more informative post for you in the near future.

We had a dog in Viet Nam and he thought the Vietnamese smelled funny and if he acted up, that was good enough for us to go on full alert and send out mortars, machine gun fire, etc. If the dog smells a bad phone call, believe it.

They've called three times in a row.  I was tempted to answer but just did a search on the number to find this site reporting their annoying calls.  They shouldn't be able to call me since I've listed with the "do not call" agencies.  I'll just renew my determintation since some have been bleeding through anyway.

I am on the Do NOT call registry.  Why do I still get calls from telemarketers?

Is a service provided by high schools letting you know your child was absent from school that day. I didn't answer but they left a message

It was a recorded message encouraging voting for to keep a tax that supports the local schools.

This is a education notice number. The Parish/County uses this system to notify you if your child is absent from school or if there is an emergency notice they need to let you know about.
