"Don James" who claimed to be from "M and B Associates" left a message on my answering machine, having threatened to send a legal matter to the county court, even though nobody with the name of the person he was seeking, even lives at my house.

Just for giggles, I called the number of 800 816 8971 to see what it was about, since my phone company won't block 800 number callers.  Apparently, the office of one "Eric Phillips" was reached, and a crude, terrible-sounding answering machine picked up.

Don't let them fool you.  These people are NOT lawyers, even though they try to fool you into believing that they are.  They're nothing more than a collection agency using cheap tactics, and the actual individual who this falls under is a con man by the name of Gage Oullette.

What a joke, I received the call today, and I also reached a Eric Phillips, he sounded pretty sick, hard to believe he could even talk in a count room.

Originally Don Phillips called from 800-816-8971 and said that my fiancé owed money and if someone didn't call by 11 that he would be sent to court.  I was a dummy and set up payment, only to realize later it was a scam and cancelled my card.
They called me back today only to say that his name was Eric Phillips and the number was 888-994-1034 and he called my work number!  He never said the name of the company the second time he called.
I told him Wachovia said they were a scam and he wouldn't tell me the name of the company or where they were located.
He was so very rude.

CALLED ME ABT A 6 year old debt I paid then stated I could pay with a prepaid card it would be easier.

You want  a LETTER (in writing) that is MAILED (post office) to you.  It must give the caller's company name & address, the original creditor, amounts, dates, etc.  Get that before you pay anything!

Machine answered.  No message.  Caller blocked.

Didn't answer, and they left a message. "Steve from Senior Care Services calling to let me know about a special promotion, only available for a limited time. Free Medical Alert system..." Blocked.
