Some publishers magazine thing. "You're one of the $1 mil finalists in South Carolina (my state). Answer a few quick questions, and be an entered finalist." Whatever.

They called me around 11am and when I answered no one responded. They called me once again at 1pm saying that I was a finalist in the million dollar sweepstakes and that this time they were doing surveys because the credit card companies wanted to know a little more about their customers. They proceeded to ask which credit card I used and naturally, I responded none. They then said ok and asked if I preferred to use a checking account or money orders and how old I was and whether I was single or married. I figured it was a scam, but I like to mess with people who are trying to mess with me. This phone number's provider is in California if that makes a difference to anyone.

The guy called me two time this morning, 4/11/2008, saying that I've won a million dollar prize according to somewhat survey from credit card companies. Then, he asked me what kinds of credit card I am using right now. I think it is a SCAM, so I don't answer him. Also I heard a lot of noise from background. It seemed he sat down somewhere in coffee shop.

This number has called me 5 times. They called twice on 4/14/08, once on the 15th, 16th and then again on the 17th (today). Curiosity got the best of me the 5th time and I answered. They told me I was a top 5 finalist to win a sweepstakes for a million dollars and that they had been trying to call me all week to tell me personally. Then they asked what credit card I use the most, if I'm single or married, what my job title is, how much I get paid a month and that's it. I asked how exactly I had signed up for this sweepstakes and she replied that I had clicked on a link of one of their partners....whatever that means. I don't recall entering any sweepstakes online. I call schannanagans... probably just a way for credit card companies to learn about their clients?

I was called by this number today, and I told my dad about it.  He said by the questions that were asked that it's probably service fees on the cell phone that will need to be watch.

got that call today... they were trying 6 times last week... Asked for which credit card I use, current position, single or married and how old I am. Is it possible to steal identities with that info? (I think that they can do it only with social security number or credit card info)...

Called constantly for a week or two, often twice a morning and in the afternoon, all in the middle of classes which is incredibly obnoxious.  I've never once answered until today to see if there would be a voice but there wasn't, and they still haven't stopped.
