- Charlie| 2 repliesI received a fake email from Microsoft with phone numbers 1-800-490-1839 and 1-800-868-1782. I'm supposed to call back these numbers to resolve error messages in my system. Otherwise, my windows services will be deactivated in some days.
Yeah, right! - Tino Lorenzo replies to CharlieMe too just now. But is not new, did happen before the last year and 2 years ago. If you call they ask you to go into a "remote control assistant" so you open your PC to them forever. In the past the emails did arrive from the University of Essex (East London), from Denmark, New Zealand and California.

- MelindaThis sound like the scam I went through several months age. I lost nearly $600.00b but my Credit card company reimbursed my money in full. They tried to get $4500.00 from me, & i hung up on them. Since then, they have kept calling wanting to give my money back asking for personal information so they can put the funds in a bank account.....Ths is a scam...They are only out for your money and "identity".....
