Received a call from this number saying they were from Spectrum and needed to upgrade my modem.  They said normal upgrade of equipment would be $500 and I would receive a reduction in my monthly bill of $30.00.  All I had to do was pay $199 which would be fully refunded to me after 6 months.  All the people I talked with had very distinct accents like they were from India.  When I asked what country they were calling from they hung up.

Received a call claiming to be Spectrum similar to above call. Felt it was suspicious as caller ID gave a different name.

Same thing as listed above. They already had my full name, home address,  knew my monthly bill last month and this month, I just changed my subscription so tge 2 months are drastically different. I called and reported it to spectrums tech department. I asked them if they had a breach and he said it's likely and I wasn't the first to report it and they working on handling it.

My guess is that Spectrum outsources their customer service to India and that is where they are getting the information.  This whole India problem started when companies laid off Americans and hired outfits from India to handle their CSR.
