- BIRD| 7 repliesPHISHING FRAUD SHOWS UP ON BANK STATEMENT WITH UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE!!!!!
BEWARE....- Caller: www.insiders-club.com
- rondan replies to BIRD| 6 repliesI found this phone number on a debit from my bank card. I don't understand what it is. Did this happen to you too? Can you explain it to me?
- Brian replies to rondan| 4 repliesI just got the same thing for $83.88.
- Screwed replies to Brian| 3 repliesCall the number now. I just got the $83.88 charge on my card, fortunately I noticed it within 2 days of it showing up on my account (checked it online). They are connected to ProFlowers, who I am guessing you recently used. I will NEVER use ProFlowers again. Long story short, part of ProFlowers check out apparently uses invisible text where you agree to sign up for various memberships. This is not the first unwanted charge we got as a result of using ProFlowers. Anyway I called the number and they are refunding all except about 50 cents. I just said that was fine because it was almost the entire amount. The difference was for the prorated amount that we were "members" over the last day or 2. My next recommendation would be to call your card company and change your account number. That's what we did to stop any future non-sense.
- VivekI also faced the same issue. I saw this transaction of same amount in my credit cars statements. I immediately blocked my card and raisd the dispute. I am waiting for the response of the investigations.
- Wiser NowWhen I read the above posts, I immediately called they number and they said they were going to issue a full refund. My husband ordered a part for our dishwasher on-line, and said he thought he unchecked the box signing up for Freeshipping.com. What a way to do business. Even if I thought it was a good idea, it's sneaky and unethical to tack it on so that people have a tendancy to miss it. I wonder how many people never look at their statements closely and see these fraudulent charges. I must say they didn't give me a hard time about cancelling, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth

- Katie| 1 replyI called 1-800-869-5597 at 9:30 pm EST. They answered the phone and asked me for my last name and zip code. That was all it took for them to find me in their system. I told her that I must have signed up for a recurring membership that I wanted to cancel. She said, "Ok, I just canceled you, and sent you a confirmation e-mail." It took less thn 30 seconds. But, I was not being charged the $83.00 other people were complaining about, but two months in a row I was charged $8.97. And, like the other people, it was after ordering flowers. But, I agree, it is sneeky. You always have to watch, even when you are buying flowers. Crazy.
- LyndseyI called the number as well and they said they would refund me the full amount and I should see it on my bank statement in 2-5 days. I was charged $83.88 and they told me that when I purchased flowers from ProFlowers I signed up for the membership...which I am sure that I did not. Or did not mean to willingly. Hopefully they actually credit me the full amount. This is crazy!
- DianaI called 800-869-5597 because I recieved my amex bill with the $83.88; I asked her to cancel whatever I might have signed up for in the amount of $83.88 she asked for my last name and zip code and said I will receive a credit within 3-5 days. I agree this seems to be very sneeky!
- BCI started filling in the information to sign up but as I was reading the fine print I decided not to go through with it. I just closed the browser. Apparently I still filled out enough informaiton to get charge. I called freeshipping.com right after I saw the e-mail and they said that it would be removed. A month later the charge was still there. I just called again apparently they had no record that I tried to got out of this trap. The just told me that my 30 day trial period was up and that I wouldn't be charged again.

- jnixonI received an email that said I had been charged for payment for service that I had never signed up for. I immediately went to the website listed in the email and cancelled this so-called membership. I had no idea that the charge was $83.88 until I was reconciling my bank account. It was on the Toywiz site. They reversed all but .92 cents of the fee. I had heard of a similar event after someone I knew had registered for a Run on Active.com. She started seeing all sorts of charges to her card. Watch out for these guys too! Here is the email I received:

If you have ever done business with any of the above listed entities online, make sure and check your statement!- Caller: Free Shipping.com/Toywiz.com website
- janicegot the same thing from 800-869-5597. saw a transaction in my bank statment of $11.97. but i called the number (freeshipping.com) and they said since i had signed up at geeks.com, my 30 day trial of free shipping had expired so they had signed me onto freeshipping and i would get charged $11.97/month. i cancelled that sh*t. l'll pay for shipping when i need to since i dont shop online as often anyways.
i got so scared! i thought some one hacked into my computer or internet or something. *sigh of relief* i'll be more careful next time i shop online! - GLORIA MARREROFAVOR DE DARME DE BAJA, NO ME INTERESA QUE ME DESCUENTEN $11.97 AL MES SIN SABER POR QUE.
- mlegHi to all of You, who got trapped just like I did. Their business is legitimate but the fact that you agree automatically to a year's membership with them at 83,88$ because you took advantage of one instance where you save shipping charges is wrong and not outlined clearly by them, although they say it is. I phoned the 800 number as soon as I got my credit card statement and they will credit 77,90$, so they got me for a month because It took almost that long to receive my bank statement.
So be careful outthere.

- KyleI've just noticed the charge on my bank statement from this website. Called the number, and the costumer service helped me terminated the membership, and told me they can give me refund on only the recent charge, it was then did I realize I have actually been charged by them for 4 months!
God, it was until now did I realize how important checking your monthly bill is! I feel awful! - FrankSame issue here...Just noticed i was being charged $12.97 for the past four months. Just got off the phone with free shipping and they are reversing the last charge. I put in a claim with my credit card company and hope to get the other three charges reversed. Very sneaky and shady in my opinion. There was nothing obvious about there being a monthly charge. I figured they had a deal with proflowers to encourage people to pull the trigger on ordering the flowers online. What a joke.
- gg replies to ScrewedThanks for the tip. I just called Am Ex and they refunded my my $83.88. My charge came from a 'free shipping' offer from Sahalie outdoor clothing store, an on-line account. What happened is the free shipping offer expires within a few days, then you are automatically charge an excessive 'membership fee' for this FREE shipping offer. What a bunch of you know what!!!
