Calls every 2 days. Left message on answering machine. Claim we owe for a bill DISCHARGED 8 years ago.

They call a lot - I am afraid it is some kind of scam so I just hang up - I have not yet ever called that number.  I would think I would get something in the mail if it was legit.

Several calls from unknown caller and unknown number with computer-generated message saying it's imperative for me to call about my account. This afternoon I was home when they called, so I called back. First thing I did was ask the woman what the name of her company was. She hung up without saying another word. I redialed and told her I had just called and she had hung up on me. She still wouldn't tell me the name of the company but said they were looking for a guy whose name I had never heard before. She then said she would take me off the list and I wouldn't get any more calls. A new phenomenon is callers who refuse to identify themselves, I guess.

I double-checked the number. It's 888 and not 800. I found a lot of posts under 888-872-1566 with the same collection agency name.
