- portadormuygrandedelapistolaThis line calls my unpublished government phone number constantly. Day and night. Now, my number has belonged to a government agency for over 25 years. These people never leave a message. On calling back it thanks you for calling FASLO and tells you it is a debt collection agency and if you have filed for bankruptcy they are not attempting to collect a debt that has been discharged in a bankruptcy. It then prompts you to enter your account number or your social security number...oh yeah, it also reminds you that the call may be recorded for quality assurance. When I got time to call the number back, I have to listen to the same recording over and over. After about the 5th or 6th repitition, a human being came on the phone. Said that he could not remove the phone number unless I had a name to go with it and what was the message that they left. I'm sitting here thinking to myself, how STUPID do you have to really be to hear me say AT LEAST 5 times to you that they never leave a message. Then he was STUPID enough to ask me for my social security number if I did not have an account number. I advised him I was not quite as stupid as he was, and, that my line was recorded and it had nothing to do with quality assurance. He then said that all he could do was pass the information along to a supervisor but without an account number or social security number there was no way for them to know 'why' the number was being called or remove it from their records. Let's not dare think that they might have a PHONE CALL LOG or register. I can assure you, as I will find and assure their corporate office (or their fly by night scum bucket office) of exactly WHAT RICO is and how they can be introduced to it.
Nonetheless, be advised, they are not who the appear to be. Random calling of phone numbers is poor practice, and, NO ONE in this office uses this line for anything personal. Most of us are traveling the world far too much to hang around a telephone all day. I just happen to be 'in' the office for about 10 days right now. And, in the last 3 days this number had called at least FIFTY times. Day and night. Night and day.- Caller: FASLO

- fed up in coloradoGot a call from Yersinia (isn't that the bacteria that causes plague??)who needed to speak to my spouse. She would not divulge the nature of her call. Finally told her I would pass on the message to call back. Then I got curious. I googled the number and found the first message above.
I called FASLO (fast SLOW??) and requested that they take our number off our list, we are in the do-not-call list in Colorado and they were violating that law. He denied they were telemarketers or selling anything, and would not tell me what his company did. I just told him to "take our number off your damn list". At which point he got uppity and acted like I was swearing like a longshoreman, and I didn't need to be rude like that. I wasn't rude, I just wanted our number "off your damn list". He hung up on me. My spouse called and he (Faslo) said that I had been swearing and cursing when I had called. BS!!!
Thanks for the first post, portadormuygrandedelapistola (bearer of the very large pistol??)- Caller: FASLO

- fed up in FloridaMy spouse received a call from this number and told them I would call back. I am in a different state on extended business. Called the number and was told unless I had an account number or social security number they wouldn't be able to tell me purpose of call. Then told me I had a bad attitude and that my wife called and cursed them out. Liars! Put me on hold as if I didn't know that any issues would be in front of him on his computer screen. This company is running a scam and I told him that. If they call, don't waste your time.

- fed up in Colorado, againWell, here we go again. They continue to call and tell my wife it is a mortgage issue and they need to talk to me. When I answer, they can't tell me what the problem is until I give them my SS# or an account number. I'm not really that stupid, but they just can't seem to find me in their data base. I don't have a mortgage with anybody and we are not in debt. Can anyone out there tell me how to get these people off our backs and to stop calling us?

- WJacir| 1 replyUnfortanelly for all of us this kind of companies (Collection company) buy debts from banks at 10% or less of the actual value, then they will do whatever takes to recover their 10% and much more. For example: They bought a debt from XYZ Bank, this debt is for a mortgage $100K for Mr.John Smith, then they put on their systems all the phone numbers associated to John Smith and start calling at any time until some John Smith calls back, and then try to force him to pay back, doesn't matter if he was the original debtor. All of them works in the same way.
If you have a computer with a modem, you can download a "FREE" Caller ID software, and block all this calls, and them will receive automatically a message from your computer saying whatever you want, with this you won't have to worry anymore about this unwanted calls.
I just did last month, and they still call, but they always got my message at the first ring, now I know when the phone rings one is because one of this companies are calling me.- Caller: FASLO

- George replies to mICKIReceived a letter from Weinstein & Riley stating my wife owes 3.000.00 Dollars to Walmart. Fact is we never purchased any higher priced items there and we do not have a Walmart credit and always paid with cash and walmart has no idea we even exist.Looks like another shyster firm trying to steal from us.
