I do not have a boa credit card so I was concerned and suspicious. When I called the number, they asked me for my social, which I did not give them. When I persisted to speak to a supervisor to get an answer the woman hung up on me.

This is the forth or fifth email I've gotten phishing via boa. This phone number needs to be shut down. Complaints here going back to 2009? That is ridiculous!

That is actually from bank of america, and i can tell because i work there at the specialized services department which is this number (800-887-5749). If you don't have an account there just call there and ask them to look for the account with your email address and place notes on the account that the bank has an incorrect email address for that account. They souldn't give you any info of the account. You can try that and see if that works

This is a horrible scam.  I just received an e-mail that looks like it came from Bank of America.. The subject line said "Unable to process your most recent Bill Payment."

That's interesting cause I don't bank with BOA.

In the very small fine print that is very dim at the bottom of the e-mail  it said this..

Please do not reply to this message. If you have any questions about the information in this e-Bill , please contact your Bill Pay customer support . For all other questions, call us at 800-887-5749.

Thanks to the person who posted that e-mail.

Called the number and gave them my credit card information for payment and the three digit code on the back of my card.  Called later on Sunday there was no notes of my scheduled payment.  Now it's Tuesday and payment has not gone through. Called again today and they answered "Specialized Services". I said "I thought this was Bank of America." The guy stammered, "Well, uh, well do do some things for ..." I hung up.

I have communicated with Bank of America and been transferred to their Online Bank Payment Services Department. This is the same number they gave me. I believe this is TRULY a Bank of America number, it just happens to be a different department than the 800 number on your card.  

6/11/14 at 1:45 P.M. received a phone call, person stated that he was calling from the Bank of America Fraud  ALERT and wanted my drives license number and other information before they could speak to me of the  fraud problem.  I told them I was busy and would have to call them later, could I please have number to call and they gave me this number (800 4272449).  I immediately called our Bank of America automated phone number and reported this incident.  they assured me that they had not made any call to me of a fraud problem.  they called this number above while I was on the line.  They stated that the person at that phone number answered the call by saying card department, and they are trained to answer by saying Bank of America.  Bank of America suggested for me to report this call to Bank of America Abuse . com.      

I received a phishing email and suspected it was fake, as I know I didn't have a Visa Platinum card with Bank of America with an account ending in 6809. I called 800-887-5749, which was the number listed in the phishing email just to see who would answer and the woman on the other end sounded very legit and asked me for my personal information, which I refused to give. I went to the Bank of America website and found the real support phone number and reported this incident, and I also forwarded the phishing email to abuse@bankofamerica.com

They are representing Bank of America but they are trying to obtain personal information about your Wealth Management

This scam is back. Same email as described on previous page of these postings. However,  I don't have an account with them. Thanks to this post I have an address to forward the scam email.

This email is back as of 01/13/2017 wit a source return address of rogrussell@verizon.net

The email is making its rounds again. Just disheartening on how low people can be.

Fraud E-mail with Bank of America Credit Card Bill and this # 800-887-5749to call...it's a FRAUD.  You call regarding your fake bill and you give them ALL your information not realizing it - DO NOT FALL for THIS...ITS a SCAM to get your important information!

NOT BANK of America - FRAUD!!!

Just got a missed call from this number today December 13 2018 and they didnt leave a message. Everyone above is saying it's a fraud w/ Bank of America.

Both my wife and I received a call from this number and we didn't answer. They did not leave message. Thanks for the information and alert.

Just saw this number on my phone. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. The other post state it's from BofA. I don't have any business with them so now I'm not concerned.
