Just got ANOTHER call from this.  First message said to log into my Verizon account and claim my $40.00 credit.  This time it said to log into my Verizon account and claim my $48.00 credit.  I don't even have Verizon!!!  SCAM!!!!

I feel cheated. The voicemail that I got informed me that I was getting $40.

This came through on 9/23, I just forgot to report it here. The message that was left was cut off but said something about getting $47 and "At Verizon we care about you." There was no website mentioned; that may have been in the part that was cut off.

Judging from the other reports here I'm guessing that this is a PHISHING ATTEMPT. Even if I believed that Verizon would leave a message with a really obvious fake voice to tell me they cared about me, I doubt that they do since I'm not one of their customers; my cell is with another company that's just using their network. The scammers don't know that of course but it clued to me in to the fact that this call was, at the very least, suspicious.

I got a call from 1 800 922 7671 same thing. This time they said 47 USD. It's easy to figure this is a scam, since you can hear it's a program that puts together the words and voice.... Don't fall for this.

WHEN IS ATT WHO IS THE PHONE COMPANY FOR ALL PRACTICAL PURPOSES GOING TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR LETTING THIEVES AND SCAM ARTISTS GET PHONE NUMBERS THAT ALLOW THEM TO HIDE BEHIND THESE SCAMS THAT STEAL MONEY FROM ELDERLY ANERICANS! OUR ELECTED CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS CERTAINLY DONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WHY SHOULD THEY, THEY ARE THE SAME IDIOTS WHO SINCE THE 1950s HAVE REFUSED TO PASS LAWS AGAINST ADVERTISERS TO MAKE THEM STOP TURNING UP THR VOLUMN ON COMMERCIALS AND BLASTING PEOPLE OFF THE COUCH BECAUSE ADVERTISER LOBBIEST HAVE POLITICIANS IN THEIR POCKETS! ATT COULD EASILY PUT A STOP TO ALL THESE SCAMMERS USING PHONE LINES. LAWS COULD EASILY BE PASSED TO MAKE SERVER HOST RESPONSIBLE TO SHUT DOWN WEBSITES THAT ARE SCAMING PEOPLE!
