Not a call but a pop-up "System Virus Alert" call number. "Locks up" the computer so well I am writing this as it tells me how locked up the computer.
"Important security message. Your computer has been locked up. Your IP address was used without your knowledge or consent to visit websites that contains identity theft virus. To unlock the computer, please call support immediately. Please do not attempt to shut down or restart your computer; doing that might lead to data loss and identity theft. The computer lock is aimed to stop illegal activity. Please call our support immediately."

I got this pop-up message:

I read the posts above & exited the browser window.

Do not call these people when you have pop ups on your iPad... they are scammers telling you about a virus on your iPad..pretending they are with Apple.   it popped up on my 76 year old fathers tablet and he called them.. because my father declined to pay the $150 dollar fee they were asking for they started cursing him out.

Got a message on my i Phone that it had been infected by a pegasus virus. They were supposedly from Apple. Was told I needed to contact them immediately to stop the problem.

Not happening!!  big scam!!!!
