This company is into infecting your computer with viruses and phishing too.  The scam is that they have a virus that hijacks the address to the site you go to (in my case facebook) and you have won aprize but yo have to give them information.  You know this is a scam because there i no opt out with a close button or something that says "no thanks".  You have to choose to pick up on a prize like a $10 Target voucher by giving your credit card information.  What a deal.  I wandered through it with a complete false set of ID as Mr. XXX who lives at XXX Street in some random zip code I punched up.  THESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS!!!! All of the folks that vouch for their ethics above are lying through their teeth.  RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!

I have no idea why they are charging me. I would like to cancel it or be refunded. This is absolutely awful.

I agree with all of you.  I had a problem with profinity doing this crap to me a few months ago and they cancelled the service, then this month they showed up on my debit account again so I called them immediately and once again they cancelled the service but said they would credit my debit card within 10 days but I have yet to see any credit and it's been almost 20 days. talk about a hipocrit company.

I got this free credit check thing and it was all crap i might add, and then suddenly i am getting charged for 6 month member ship from PRO*CREDIT 866-407-7043 FL and of course i am like WTF who is that and immediatly i called them and i totally wigged on the guy. swearing yelling....screaming.  So he says that they will issue a refund and that i have to wait 10 business days. so i wait and on the tenth day nothing so of course i call them and the lady tells me that no one did anything that no refund and my account with them was still going so then i get her to cancell it and then get my refund and yet again 10 business days and because i am persisitent i have called every day about it.  tommorow is the tenth business day and if there is no refund on april 12 i will be filing a claim with VISA.  they took 79.95 out of my account unauthorized.  IF i get a refund i will be cutting my visa up and getting a new number.

Never heard or signed up fo any credit report from Profinity. They are a scam outfit. They promised I would receive a $50 gift certificate free. Then they wanted to charge my credit card but fortunately they were not able to because I have Chase fraud protection.
