misdialed comcast which is 800-934-6489.
i dialed 6498 which had a comcast lady voice tell me to take a quick survey or hang up.  This connected me to some telemarketers in mushwabi banglastan trying to sell me a $100 gift certificate/bait and switch to some online doctor service with "handling fees" of $4.95 and $2.95 respectively. They wanted my DOB. Croox! Don't deal with these turkeys.

I also misdialed comcast which is 800-934-6489.
i dialed 6498 which had a fast talking lady voice ask for my name and address. She then kept insisting she worked for the Xfinity "Solution Center" and tried to get me to switch to other services such as ATT and otherwise to "save money" when I wanted to dispute a bill in order to get my financial details. Scammer.

2/28/19 - Caller ID showed # was  COMCAST. Caller stated our modem was unable to receive updates from Comcast. He proceeded to ask specific questions about the modem. We asked for his name and then he hung up.

Exact same experience. Misdialed xfinity, was on hold with all xfinity promos, then ended up shouting at the guy that I just wanted to cancel my services when he repeatedly kept pitching me on some dumb cyber security

called 6498 by mistake told them what I needed. Crazy, over the top, pushy person who acted like they were Comcast. He took all my info then.......just crazy. Told them 6 times I was calling about my bill. Finally said this was not my phone company and I dialed the wrong number.

We had a similar experience.  We misdialed and reached a scam.  They tried to get use to sigh up for a phony protection service.  We hung up.

These people are like predators waiting for people to mix up the last 2 digits of the Xfinity number.  They are trained very well to say they are, "The Solution Center", but won't say they are not Xfinity!!! I spoke to someone thinking that they were Xfinity only to be miss lead causing my account to be overdrawn.  This place isn't transparent and I wouldn't be surprised that the employees of , "The Solution Center " are ex felons and scams artists. I'm sure you people get yelled at on a regular basis.  Please check the number you have dialed.

The last 2 digits of the number can cause you grief if you miss dial. Take it from me.

Trying to reach Xfinity and quickly realized I misdialed and reached the wrong place. #1 They answered right away haha #2 No account verification through my phone number #3 She heard my reason for calling and quickly went into a trying to change my services.

I just received (Oct. 21, 2024) a phone call from a supervisor, James Adam (but a voice probably from India?), from the Promotion Dept. of Comcast./Xfinity stating that I was being called (this is
the last day) for a $40.00 discount on our Comcast. Cable bill. The caller said that he was in Forest Hills, NY, (800) 934-6498 (ext. 149).He needed to verify some information, bank routing number and
bank ckg. account number from which our Comcast/Xfinity bill is paid every month. He said that
because we were long time customers that we were being offered a $40.00 discount for 2 years without any increase for this period. He said that our new monthly bill would be lowered to $173.95,
a discount of $40.00 and that a sports channel (?) which I did not know anything about and which we have never used would be canceled, "have no worry!!." Our new bill is promised to be $173.95, $40.00 below our current bill. However our current bill comes in two billings, $269.69 and
$23.00.  I have tried to reach Comcast about this but have not been able to reach anyone.
