I picked up the call, no answer, I hung up and blocked the number.

Called wife's cell twice. After googling, other reports say it is So Cal Edison.  We are not Edison clients.

Same as others here: called and didn't leave a message. Received another call recently with different spoofed Edison service number which I had already blocked. Wish there was a better solution than constantly blocking new spoofed numbers.

Received a call from 800-950-2356. Did not answer. No msg left on voicemail.
Another apparent scam.

Yes we got a call from a Brian Lopez claiming to be from Edison and wanting to notify us that someone will be coming in the next hour to shut off our electricity. So first, I know this isn't true, not only because I know the bill is paid for the business, but I had heard of the scam before. I simply told him that someone will be here all day, so tell them to come. This Brian tried to back track and say we had to pay the bill. I said oh really??  And what is our account number? How much is owed? Only questions that I knew the answers too. He finally hung up on me.

it is a scam I fall for it one time they are calling from Africa I believe nageria so don't give them money because dwp will sent you notice they wont call if you are behind and they wont cut your power

not Edison company , trying to scare me with the typical scam games like late payment and disconnect the power in 20 mins. Really good acting and using legit Edison number

Received call said it was from Southern California Edison.  Called to let me know they had a disconnect order for my residence.  Said to press 1 to speak to a representative.  I hung up.  Totally a scam since my account is up to date and I did not place an order for Edison to disconnect my service.

Fraud someone is making up Edison bills and trying to collect on them.

Called and did not leave message.

This exact number called my cell saying my light would be shut off due to a defect from the company. The man on the call stated to me that I was being fined for the issue (which makes no sense why would I have to pay for something wrong on your end). The man stated to me that I had to submit payment via Money Pak which is a prepaid debit card from 7/11 then stated I had to call back him back with the card info. They have also called from 714-638-2981.

Utilities do not ask for gift cards, prepaid debit cards, etc.  They don't call you up on the weekend and tell you that they are going to shut off your power/gas.  They send you notices in the mail, bills, etc.  I don't think that any utilities are actually turning off service because of the pandemic (I don't even think that the law at this time would allow it).
