Got a hang up call. Called the number back. It's Columbia House. They said they will remove my number from the list.

This caller calls my number everyday at 5:30pm and then hangs up, no one says anything. It is annoying and harrassing. Please make this company stop the calls to my home. I can not change my number again.

THE NUMBER IS FOR BMG/COLUMBIA HOUSE. THEY CALLED MY PLACE OF WORK, CALLED THE 800 NUMBER BACK AND LIKE THE RESPONSE ABOVE, THEY WILL REMOVE THE PHONE NUMBER WITHIN 30 DAYS...

They want my wife to resign-up for music, I said NO, but, they don`t get the hint.  I told them NO everytime they call.  I am ready to sue them for harssment.

800-966-6214 called, did not answer. As soon as answering machine picked up they hung up and redialed. Did a search on number it says Columbia Music. I'm not interested and am on the do not call list.

The calls come at least twice a day, sometimes three times. Always first thing in the AM, then during the lunchtime hours and finally, late in the PM, well after dark. I don't pick-up, they leave no messages, so they continually call. I've finally cracked. This has been going on since before the last Christmas`

Calling daily - My number is listed on the Do Not Call registry and I am also reporting it there

This number keeps calling me, claiming to be from BMG/Columbia House telling me since I have a good acount in standing they were offering me to buy one for $9.95 and get 5 free DVD's for it. I kept telling them I wasn't going to be at my current address in 4-6 weeks but they keep calling after that. They also call from another number with the same promotion: 1-800-262-2001.

I also get calls w/ hang ups from this number, but another 800 look up gave me this answer:

This number calls me EVERY DAY!!!!  I never answer it...  I wish they would just STOP!!!!!!!

I am a member of Columbia House.  Every month when I decline the featured selection, I get multiple calls trying to sell me alternative titles.  They get snotty when you say no.  I told one customer service rep that when my husband got out of jail, I'd consider getting a collection of my favorite TV shows on DVD, but for right now I'd have to pass because he shot out the TV with a 12 gauge shot gun.  She stuttered a really quick "maybe next time" and hung up.  The calls stopped...for that month!
BTW, my husband is NOT in jail (he's a cop, actually) and he didn't shoot the TV with a 12 guage, but I'm thinking of trying it again next month ;-)

just got a call from this number - they called on my work number - I never answer when it is a 800 # - they left no message - hopefully, when they heard the message they will not call again.

It's me again - the next day -  10:30 - same toll free number - they call and hang up.
They need to go and get a real job!

I actually call for this company. I truly believe that columbia house and BMG both are scammers. It is rediculous how many times we call people after they say no. They DNC list is a joke, we are required to give a response that goes like this for FTC regulations " I apologize for any inconvience. In complience with your request we will remove your number from our promotional call list. It does take 30 days for your request to be processed completly. Any questions call 1-800-966-6214." Really I apologize, there are alot of good people out here that do this job because they hit up the poor parts of america and offer well above minimum wage jobs. NO backround checks and all you have to do is know how to read. These companies train us to sell like machines. And believe it or not if we aren't agressive enough and rebuttal our hearts out we get wrote up and eventually fired. When you ask to be put on the DNC list we read you that scripted response and type in a number which we call a disposition for a DNC. And from there it it out of our hands. The individual person has no control over the number after that. Not even the supervisors. We use automatic dialers. If not for working my way through college, I wouldn't need this wretched job. But I have to say my town needs this place. We are in a very rural and poor area without many jobs. Being paid well above minimum wage is enough motivation for some like me.  Once again I do apologize.

I'm having the same problem, I receive the call one or two times everyday, any idea how to stop it

I received the call everyday once or twice in the evening, I never answer it.  How can make them stop?

Auuuggghhhh  They keep calling.  I don't owe them money and they won't answer when I call them back!!  What do they want?

I've received several calls from this number.  I called it back and it is BMG/Columbia House.  I no longer hold an account with them and am on the Do Not Call List.  But apparently, businesses that you once did business with you can call for a period afterward even if you are on the DNC list.

My number is unlisted-- probably a voice activated machine.
