Metro PCS

Got charges on my MC from the number.  Identifies them as Correctional Bill Svcs.  Google search turns up Evercom Correctional Billing Services.  Have to go through them to call inmates.

I have deduced that this number is associated with Metro PCS. The word "correctional" means it is when they eff up and overcharge you, this company corrects the error. They are VERY lucky they didn't wait one or two more days to correct their error or they would have been paying some overdraft fees on my account! (they double-charged me for a bill a few days before the correction was made!) BTW, this number showed up on my BANK account, not on my caller ID. I had no idea why I would have a phone number paying money into my bank account until I looked further down to see the double dip from Metro PCS.

I have a charge of 232 dollars on my mc and have no account with metro pcs, in fact never heard of them until now. They claim I owe them money but I have never even heard of them and now fighting with them to get my money back

BillMatrix is not limited to Comcast.  Many utilities use them to handle credit card payments.  I am speculating here, but in many cases I think this is a way to monetize credit card payments with a convenience fee that PUCs may not allow.

Had a charge for $144 on my MC card POS Withdrawal - (800) 967-9649 19900 N Creek ParkwUS Bothell WAUS - Card Ending In" on my bank statement. After a momentary freak out, I haven't been to Bothell in years, and net-search I found this page and remembered I had just used bill matrix last week to pay my PSE bill.  Figured I would share for the rest of you out there.

This was a service handling Puget Sound Energy payment for me.

I was told I owed a utility bill (which I do owe) and asked to make a payment, which I did.  Apparently this is a scam???

BillMatrix payment system: handled my payment for Centerpointe Energy, Gas and Electric, They didn't call, it was on my bank statement.

This number along with number # 000075452489 (800) 967-9649 440 South LaSalle St. Chicago,Il. showed up on my bank statement along with an ATM withdrawal of $175.26. As far as I'm concerned this is theft and these jerks need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law! I will call my Credit union and find out about this bogus withdrawal in the morning the second they open!!! I work hard for a living like most people how DARE these people steal from me, more important is how are they doing this, and how do we STOP them?

Just received 2 charges on my Chase account from "POS DEBIT FSI*PORTLAND GNL ELEC 800-967-9649 OR" ... which is funny, because I don't use that account, and the replacement debit cards were never activated (after the last time our Chase account was violated from Myanmar).  So much for the security of "activating" your debit card before using it. :-(

This is correct. Many Utilities do use this company.

I was ready to report a suspicious charge on my card and realized it was my Con Ed bill I paid online and they charged $3.35 extra

A charge of 167 showed up on my bank statement from,800-967-9649. Had no idea it was from METRO PCS  .just said ATM TRANSACTION but I don't have a account with METRO and don't know how they got my card number
