Called asking for Mr. or Mrs. X, I said they were dead. The reply was how unfortunate, would you be interested...and I cut them off and said did you not here me. He said in a heavy southern accent "Yes, but I have a great deal today".

someone keeps calling and calling from this number, calls several times a day , never leaves a message, very annoying!

They keep on calling 4 - 5 times a day , but there's no one on the
other line , when I pick up the phone

I also have been getting calls from that number 4-5 times a day, and they never leave a message on my answering machine either...Although I have received messages such as "hello...is Mr X there?...hello... heellloo?"  Then they hang up.  Sounds like they've got some kinda telemarketing system that only connects them when somebody answers the phone on the other line.  The thing is...my answering machine message tells telemarketers to REMOVE ME from their list.  But I guess they're not listening very well.  

Also, my call display shows names and numbers..but for this number there is no name.  I must be some kinda scam thing alright.

This number called 3 times today. I never answered.

Keep getting calls from 800-980-1055. It must be automated because they keep calling every 10-20 minutes, all morning long.I feel like forwarding my number to the local police, and see if they stop calling my number!!

I hope they don't call 20 times a day because I just got their first call today, I picked up and no one responded so I hung up.

This phone number keeps showing up on Call Display.  I do not answer 1-800 numbers but am getting really annoyed with the frequency.

Been getting numerous calls a day from this number for a few weeks. I called the # and a heavy foreign accent answered with "Ace Furnace and Carpet" I told him don't call again!!!!! We'll see.

My caller ID showed 7 calls from them in the previous 24 hours this morning.  After that I received 5 or 6 calls from that number today.  I answered once to see if that would stop the calls.  They asked for my husband by first name and hung up when I said he wasn't available.

Well, there definably scum of the phone world - I have reported them to Telus  - the problem is that they/who dirt bags they are - it's comming out from Alberta and BC - which means pressing *60-1-800-980-1055 cannot stop it because it's out of BC & Alberta - could be down East Canada or a bought and paid for Canadian number being used by scum of the U.S.A. - either way they will get caught with the Technology the Police and Interpole along with Telus - Jail time in America is not like Jail time in Canada -  there fools !!!!!

uh-oh, just discovered this number on my call display after being out all day..no voicemail though.  called at 1:46pm pacific.  but that's what i get for being listed in the phone book!

Called and no one on the other end... very strange. Second call today! I hope it stops soon.

I've been getting calls from this number and 'ACE CARPET' for ages. Today the 1-800 number asked for my husband by name. When I asked who was calling a male said, 'This is a curtosy call and we'd like to thank you...' Then silence. I wonder if these people are getting some kind of long distance line through these calls. I hope they show up at my door so I can shove my phone and answering machine right up their ass.

I have asked "ACE Furnace and Carpet" to add me to their Do Not Call list on 3 occassions, but with no effect.  I have now reported them to the CRTC.

They phone numerous times throughout the day/evening and when I call back my call is "transferred" but no-one picks up...EXTREMELY annoying and intrusive
