Got a call on my cell phone on July 3 2015.  Caller said he was from Verizon Wireless and that I would get a $20 credit on my next bill if I rated my service with Verizon.  He asked a couple of general questions about my satisfaction with them and then asked what they cud do to improve their service.  Next he wanted to confirm my zip code.  As I was suspicious about this call, I gave him an incorrect number.  He then said all he needed was the last four digits of my SSN and the $20 credit cud be put thru.  When I refused to give him my number, he argued that it was necessary in order to apply the $20 credit.  Told him I'd call Verizon directly and check this out.  He told me his name was Manny and his ID was 21534.

I called Verizon and Tricia confirmed my suspicions.  With my zip and last four digits he wud be able to access my account and order phones, etc.  She said Verizon never makes these calls.  This number has definitely been spoofed.  Tried to call them to let them know, but they're closed for the holiday.  Will follow up on Monday.
