got two calls from this number today alone. no one on the line, it disconnects after you pick up. called the number back and a woman answered the phone (sounded like a cell phone in a bad area) and said, 'please hold'. the phone was quiet for a minute and then there was a hold message, 'your call is very important, please continue to hold'. put the call on speaker phone, and was on hold for over one hour before i hung up.

This number has shown up on caller ID over a dozen times today and yesterday. Tried calling it back and nothing happens, no rings, nothing. I managed to answer it a couple of times and nothing is said and the caller hangs up.

This number shows up on my Caller ID approximately 10 times a day.  Calls severaltimes in a few minutes.  Have answered a couple of times, no one there.  Tried calling back...no answer.

I have been receiving several calls from this number. It's always the same woman or the same man. They begin the conversation by asking me if I am "Jerome Wilson". I told them I was, just to see what they wanted. The lady then told me it was a collection agency and that the call is being recorded. She told me that I owed money for magazines. I told ther that I was not Jerome and that I didn't know who Jerome was. She then threatened me, saying that lying to her was a federal offense. She then attempted to get more personal information from me. I told her that I was not Jerome and that I was tired of her calling me late at night when I am trying to sleep. She kept threatening to prosecute me and told me that she knew who I was and that she had my phone number. I told her that if she knew who I was then she knew I wasn't Jerome. She hung up on me after that but I have gotton calls from this woman and man every day this week. I believe it is some kind of scam. do not give these people your personal information.

HAHA they called me and hung up so i called them back 20 times and the same girl kept on picking up and i played my music on my comp. Afroman - because i got high!

This number calls ALL the time. There's never anyone on the line and if you try to call the number back the line is just dead. It nevre rings or anything.

The number calls from 7:30am up until 10:00 pm. I dont answer suspicious numbers. I did call back though once and some woman answered the phone and i could barely hear her.

Ditto, I never answer, tho they continue to call every day, Normally in the morning, then around noon and a bunch of times in the evening.  My caller ID shows, "Customer Service."  Well, if they know who I am they better send a letter to verify themselves before I answer some con job number.

I get this phone number all the time!  At least 8 times a day and they never leave a message.  lukey baker and associates is a collection agency with a fancy lawfirm-sounding name.  The magazine company is probably central coast magazine company.  I (stupidly) signed up with them.  They gave me one week to cancel my subscription but when I tried calling to unsubscribe it was a disconnected number.  They billed my credit card and when I tried to call that number that was on my online bill it was this random greenhouse in southern california.  So, I called my credit card company and told them what happened so they stopped that transaction.  I tried calling the first number again and, surprisingly it went through, but they said because I missed the deadline and  was in a contract for 5 years and there was nothing I could do and they had recorded my voice saying I wanted it and understood everything so it was a verbal contract and I couldn't break it.  Needless to say,I haven't paid.  I got a letter in the mail once saying I owed such and such amount of money but if I called now I could get my bill reduced!  This company even tried to sell me a pitch that I won a free trip to Mexico if I called them back!  If you don't know why you're getting this call it might have been someone giving the wrong phone number and now they're calling you.  The only suggestion I have is maybe try calling your phone company to get the number blocked.

Register with www.donotcall.gov (most states have their own laws as well).

I get calls from 4 different states, and I believe they are ALL associated to this Company (or collection agency).  They never leave a message.

I too originally signed up for magazines. However, I cancelled the transaction (or so I thought). I sent them an OVERNIGHT letter, within the 7 days to cancel, AND attempted to call their bogus cancellation number.  The overnight envelope was RETURNED, opened, but written on "company no longer in business". I cancelled the card before they could ever charge me. The original company was SMC (Southern Magazine Corp or Company). I found a lot of info citing them as being extremely ILLEGITIMATE in their business dealings.

These people who are now calling will call throughout the day, up to 17 times a day. By law, you can technically tell them not to call anymore once they have identified themselves. However, nothing I have read suggests they stop.  17 calls a day to me counts as Stalking!!!

I constantly get calls from these people. 6 time today. Is there any way I can prevent them from calling me again???
I didnt even sign up for anything!!!

This EXACT same thing happened to my husband.  We get calls multiple times a day, everyday.  Saying we owe over $800 in magazine charges because we didn't cancel in the alotted amount of time! $800........please!

I recieve calls from this number begining @ 7 am and through out the day at least 12 times. I am on the do not call list and for some reason I found that they still get through.

Just hung up on someone from there! She sounded very uneducated! Must have been desperate for a job or something...Didn't stay on the phone long enough to get info though. The name of the company alone is why I hung up.
