SCE&G , SCANA, PSNC are all the same company...their Umbrella is very large. They are an electric, natural gas solar energy company that owns many other small electric energy companies everywhere. They could be calling to let you know you are going to receive a disconnect notice, your power has been restored, there are power outages in your area, payment reminder etc. or an energy survey.

864 is area code above cola - Spartanburg area, 803 is cola down, and 843 is coastal area

For me it was a notification from Progress Energy to remind me of the date I set to disconnect service (due to a move). I guess since they are linked with the other service companies they all use the same number, as mentioned by Maycee. This won't be a spam number.

It was from Scana Energy to inform me that my natural gas service's fixed-rate plan was due to expire and that I will automatically be moved to their variable-rate plan if I do not sign up for another fixed-rate plan. They have previously notified me about this via letter, email, and a notification on the bill-pay site.
