Not sure who this is, keeps calling the house a couple of times a day. Usually between mid-morning and evening. I let the machine get it, and all I get is silence for 2 seconds, then they hang up. No one ever leaves a message of any kind. Caller ID just says "S Carolina Call".

For the last week, I've been getting calls from Eleanor Russell for some guy named Justin Cass (whom I've never heard of) numerous times a day, even as early as 6am.

I finally had enough and called back, where I got a voicemail with the information I've listed above. I talked to some guy who was supposed to be a supervisor and our interaction seemed somewhat shady. He mentioned the name of the corporation he worked for and how they handled accounts but didn't respond positively or negatively to whether or not he was a debt collector. Which makes me suspicious, as why would they be calling me about anyone else? And if it was something serious AND legitimate, they would leave a voicemail. I told him that the calls were inappropriate, to take my name off whatever list he had, and that if they called again, I would be reporting them to the authorities. I also mentioned that there's an entire website about calls from this number of a harassing nature and that this was illegal in my state of residence. He asked how I got all of Eleanor's information and I said that she has a voicemail that I listened to (clearly the concept of voicemail isn't their strong suit). I also called back this Eleanor and left a similar message on her phone, saying that she's calling me an inappropriate amount of times and at inappropriate hours, without the courtesy of leaving a voicemail and if she continues to do so again I will report her.

We'll see. I'll update if anything else comes up.

There's a lot of information out there on the web about calls from these people. I recommend reporting them to BBB, and I'll also be doing this to the chief of police in Rock Hill.
