This number sent me texts calling me by name and was unwilling to tell me who they were.

Whoa! I just got a text from this number at 7:11PM on 10/28/2012 Sunday evening saying, "hello daniela" I responded, "May I ask who is this?" and they have not responded

I just looked up the number via another phone website and it says its a land line phone from Johnston South Carolina so they would probably not have received my reply if it's by text but I understand they can send texts via land line

Do not send anything to that live.com address.  It's another scammer.

Got a text from his number at 9 am HST on 10/31/12. Knew my name but when I asked who it was they said said "lol to find out add me on yahoo messenger "txtwoman55"

Pretty sure it's a scam but its still weird.

I just picked up a text from this number that was sent yesterday.  I'm in So. Calif. started to text back 'who is this', glad I checked this site first.

I got a text message saying "hola" and my name last night on my cell. I replied asking who the person was and have not gotten any further response back. This is really strange as I don't know anyone from SC.

received a text saying "hello Cindy...." on 11/4/12 @5:40 pm.
responded on Nov 5th @ 8:23 am..."Who is texting me? You are not in my contacts list..."
No response as yet.
One of my employees said people are using Facebook to obtain your contact info...

Wow, I'm trying to figure out who's #this is, cause I got a message and I ask who this was and they said If I wanted to know, to add him/her to my messanger, and now I read this....

I got the same text from this number today (11/15/12).... Also no reply when I asked who it is.

This number texted me and it was the same as all of you. There was a "hello victoria" when I asked who this was the reply said "oops...my iphone is about to die" and again I asked who it was and then the response said "add me on y! Mssngr textflirter"
I said idk you so no. That's the extent of my conversation with this number

My best friend just sent me this same text she received calling her by her first name.  When she asked who it is, they said their cell was about to die.  Not a good feeling for people to get this text.  She is deleting her info from facebook.

Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation’s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that’s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.
