Got a call from this number on 11/21. No message left.

I get calls from this place all the time . my caller id says it is "AACC" and the lady asked for james mason. he is a stranger to me, but the weird thing is  the last name is the same as my street name,and they always call like at 8 a.m.

lady calls . asks for unknown man- who ironically has the same last name as my street name.they always call early like 8 a.m. and my caller id says "AACC"

My caller id says "AACC" and gives a loud buzzing noise when answering machine picks up.

Had called back from a different phone to find out who "Call Center, VA" was. The recorded announcement ID'd "Asset Acceptance."

I believe this was the outfit that called before looking for someone not here.  From what I've read, I think they're phishing for information to trump up a phoney collection.  I refuse to give out any information.

I've been reading a lot about how these debt collectors are now being investigated by the FTC for illegal and criminal activities to get money out of people.  They don't care if people owe it or not.

You HAVE to report this company to the FTC so they can be investigated.  That's what I do on EVERY call I get.  

For a while, I was getting calls from "Unknown Name, Unknown Number."  The CallerID was being hid, but I found out by answering one day and tricking the rep into identifying the company name and number.  They were calling every day, multiple times a day, which is illegal.  I was then able to report them to the FTC.  It took a while, but the calls finally stop.  I had to put a trap on my phone to catch their other illegal, hidden calls so I could report them to the police.  I no longer get "Unknown Name, Unknown Number" calls.

how do you report these and other bill collector's to the FTC? I get many, many calls of this nature every day for a person who used to own my phone number, before I was assigned the number with my phone service.  I also have people calling me and asking for me by my maiden name, well I haven't used that name in over 11 years, so I do not identify myself, one of them is this Call Center, VA on the caller ID. The other agency is CCA, looking for the person who used to have my phone number, with another account and address.  It's frustrating.

I then looked up their email and emailed them that I had filed a complaint with the FCC.

If everyone files on them and the other nuisances we should be able to get rid of them forever.

Caller calls at 8:00a.m. lets the phone rings three times and then hangs up.
I checked the caller I.D. and it says AACC.

how about these people calling my cell phone... I said to him how did  you get this number and he said its his job...the phone number is blocked and never do i write it down or give it out..other than family...but i told him send me what he has that I owe and I'll look it over...he had a fit and said I needed to pay it now...I hung up...so I'll be reporting him to the attorney generals office in Philadelphia and In Va...where the call center is...I think these people are ASsest Accept...collection ...what do they think we are just going to write a check on something I'm now aware off....

IT was really funny if not so annoying.  They called me and said this message is for JG (gave the name of my ex husband of 8 years and this number is my current husbands that has had it for at least 10 years).  The recording said to hang up if it wasn't him or stay on the line if it was.  Then said since you are still on the line, this must be JG and this is a confidential call so you may want to be in a private place.  Then goes on to say that it is something Acceptance and they are a collection agency and he needs to call.  At this point the message is so long that my answering machine hangs up and I didn't get the number that they said to call.

Remember, this was all on an answering machine and very stupid, because obviously I couldn't hang up if I wasn't on the phone.  I don't even know where they got this number. This call was on Dec. 20th.  Been waiting for them to call back, but they haven't.  My ex and I don't speak, but believe me, if they give me a 800 number, I'll be calling them back telling them about it.

I did not answer and there was no caller id.  I hate these calls especially on my cell phone.  I just had my number changed..how do these people get our phone numbers?  This is crazy!
