Received a call on 11/28 at 141pm
Received a call on 12/1 at 1250pm
Received a call on 12/4 at 1010am

They never leave a VM.

Called home, no message, morons.  Will file usual complaints with ftc.

From other Web postings i learned they are Asset Acceptance a collection agency.  After researching on their Web site I found their Toll Free number of (800) 545-9931 and asked them Why they had been calling my number. They gave me a name I had ever heard of. I told them that and the promised to remove my number from their list. Hope they are right but at least they had to pay for the call.

Today I answered to see. It was a recorded message. Press 4 is this is the wrong person. I did and a live person came on immediately. I hung up on them. It was Asset Acceptance.

Absolutely right!!

They keep calling my son's telephone number and stating, if this is blank, blank to call them at a certain number.  It is Asset Acceptance and they are attemting to collect a debt from an account which was Sears, a debt that was discharged because of bankruptcy.  When they call my home, they leave no message

another call and another complaint to the ftc and attorney generals office.

They have called me for three years! I can't get them to stop calling me

they keep calling and leaving computer messages........

I've been getting these stupid call for the last couple of months. I check area codes from all he strange numbers that called my cell and they're all from Virginia and West Virginia. Something's up with them. I recently saw a report on the news about this and they said it's a scam to get info on you you to get your identity or steal your money. So don't pick it up.

Received call asking for someone I did not know. The name is produced by an electronic voice that was difficult to understand. Callback number is given too fast to copy down. Couldn't request message be repeated.

Called the 1-804-234-9057 number from caller ID and spoke to a representative. The person told me the name and I did not know anyone by that name.

The representative told me that someone gave my telephone number as their own. The problem with that explanation is that (according to the web site) this firm buys charged off consumer debt. That means that there has been previous attempt(s) to collect the debt that failed. The original company to which the debt was owed charged off the debt. If my phone number had actually been given out in the original unpaid debt, I would have received prior contact for collection from the original holder of the debt, and I didn't.

The explanation of Asset Acceptance appears to be a blatant lie.

received call on my cell - brand new # that no one should have - they left no msg but I have yet to even activate my voicemail here anyway.

Received a call from this number on 2-27-09. I did not answer it, do not know them. No message was left.

ATTENTION ALL THAT HAVE BEEN CALLED FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!
I just received a call from AACC. today 03/03/07 at 10:10 a.m. on my house phone. though I get calls just like this on my cell phone all the time. They asked for my disabled elderly other. when I refused until I was given more info as to who and where and why they were calling they said it was a personal matter they could not disclose that info. I told them that If they didnt tell me then they werent talking to her and that they should understand my hesitance due to the high volume of tele-marketing calls and scams upon the elderly. She assured me that it wasnt either but that tells me nothing and Im not stupid. We have been getting thease same calls now for a couple of months most of the time they hang up on me. But today I got a live person. When she wasnt getting what she wanted she then told me she would call back when my mom would answer the phone. Sucks to be them because I always answer the phone!
DO NOT allow yourself to be a victim! All they want is your personal info! If yor reading this then you to have been contacted! For the same reason! If you value your money, privacy, and whatever else you might have in your life DONT GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION OF GETTING YOUR INFO!!!! If you request them to take your number off their list that certain person might agree or they might just hang up on you and believe me THEY WILL KEEP CALLING!!!!
REMEMBER IT IS EASY FOR THEM TO GET YOUR INFO AS FAR AS YOU NAME,ADDRESS,PHONE NUMBER AND PRIOR CREDIT EVEN! I used to work for what I thought at the time was a mortgage company but it turned into a telemarketing position and we had lots of information on people just to get them feeling comfortable with telling us more of their info because some people believe HOW CAN THEY HAVE THIS INFO IF THEY ARE NOT GENUINE! Well let me tell you from 1st hand knowledge..Its easy for scam companies to get your basic info from companies and or reports or the computer just as you got their info here! DONT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE A VICTIM!!!!

This number keeps call ing and hangs up. they leave no messages. We are tired of this.

They are a collecting company.  they called me to try to get payment on one of my very old credit cards from target.  If they call you try calling them back and they will tell you why they are calling.  They are actully pretty nice if you talk to them.

But since you already know who they are....why would you be looking up their number? Nice try.
