Blocked this number now. Have blocked other similar numbers. It's definitely a scam and annoying.

I received a call but didn't answer

I didn't bother to answer.  The Verizon caller id had suggested it was possible scam before I even saw the screen, so I let it ring.  They did not leave a voicemail.  Says Richmond, VA, but caller id no longer matters with scammers using VoIP.

I didn't pick up. You only have a number and Richmond VA. I ain't playing. I dialed back and got a robot telemarketer saying I was likely called by a salesman. Goodbye.

The issue isn't that you can't block numbers. The issue is that you have a tracfone. Why don't you bring yourself out of 2002 and go get yourself an iPhone - with this type of device, you can block whoever, whenever and for whatever reason. Just a tip.

I'm a Tracfone user mainly because we are not allowed to have phones with cameras at work (DOD).  I pay $100 once a year.  That's $8/month (wife pays $86/month).  Also, a few months ago I tested my standby time, which is 165 hours on one charge.  So there are advantages to Tracfone.

Do Not Call Back and Press 2 this verifies that the software reached a real phone number. Best is to not pick up at all.

9:04 am EST just called my phone... no message, didn't pick up... I swear I block 5 of these numbers a day... getting ridiculous. so much for that DNC list scam to make you think they are cracking down.

Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. No message left, so I added it to my phone's auto reject list. Won't be bothered by them again.

Called my cell, did not pick up, no voicemail, looked here, now blocked!

Something about student loans. Mine were paid off in 1989. Plus this was on my cell phone. I don't give this number out to just anyone. Obviously phishing.
