It was a robocall from the Ventura County Fire Department notifying residents that there will be a controlled fire on Portero Rd next week.

SCAM. Calls after 9:30 P.M.. Don't answer. Scammers use a ventura number to find out info so they can rob you.

This number called my cell phone first, no message left. Then called my home phone in 20 seconds, no message left. When I called back this number, it was a recorded message said it's a VC alert, Ventura County emergency alert system. There is no alert message at current time. I am wondering if someone hacked the system and used the number to make the phone call.

It’s an automated message from the Ventura County Fire Dept to warn us about the upcoming Santa Ana wind event.  Mentioned that Edison May cut power and to be prepared since we are in a fire prone area.  Not spam, a very helpful and welcoming phone call for once!

You are getting calls from this number because you likely signed up for emergency alerts! It's a legitimate call.

Called at 1:20 AM but first got a text (almost simultaneous) with a scam “this is an important message” with a link to click on . the phone number showed up as “potential spam” so I did not answer

Just received after a Tornado Alert.  Didn't answer, so I Googled. Scam, especially with A.I no one should answer.
