I received a call from a Maria Perez from this number stating she was an agent locator because I had a claim against me. I asked what claim and she would not answer and said could direct me to a firm that is handling the case. It was bogus b/c I never had a claim. The worse part she was calling my work 4 times after I told her by law she is not allowed and is harassment and I don't know how she even got the number since I don't give it out. She kept asking to speak with my boss which is against the law to confirm my info and address and said I need to speak to your manager not you. How rude. I am def. reporting this lady she needs to be very careful. I can't believe these people have jobs like this calling a personal line is one thing but someones work when against the law. That is serious she needs to research the law because I would hate for them to have a lawsuit filed against them. Better yet it is well deserved if they keep harrassing people like this.

I got the same exact call today while I was in class. She said the same thing to me verbatim. She's called 3x in 1 hour. I saved one of the voicemails so I can get her name bc I'm the DNC list. I'll file a "claim" against her.  No way in hell I'll give her any of my information. If she calls again I will cuss her up and down. In fact, I'm gonna call the number and see what the company is. So I'm able to put a name to the dnc registry.

called said there was a claim against my daughter but would provide name of the company she works for and did not even know what the claim was about.  She got rude and stated do you want to help your daughter or not, so i hung up and she called back 3 times. I advised her to not call my phone again or i would contact an attorney regarding the harassing phone calls.  She then states i guess you dont want to help your daughter and then hung up.   The nerve of these people.

    doubtful as heck
so im a bit confused. these people had the nerve to call m sister and scare her saying they have a claim against me and hes a locator and the only way they could eliminate it today and today only is if i havent received any of the "documents" yet that the "locater" hasnt given me as of yet they would take a partial payment. Listen I work for a credit repair company and they are harassing my family and i. I will not pay the Claim because I pulled my own credit report and it doesn't even show up on there. Told me they were going to get me for fraud and breech of contract. This is a scam people be aware, I told him since the "locator" finally contacted me I said have a cop deliver the papers to me and hung up on him

I receive several calls not to mention back to back from this number. The lady claims she works for a firm and need to verify my address and phone number so that the papers can be sent to the right address. Upon checking my voicemail, she left a message claiming to be looking for a man but when pick up  she is asking for the person on my voicemail recording... Like "b***h" leave me and people alone and STOP harass hard working people.

So I got this call today looking for my husband. I told the caller he was not available. She told me that he had a claim against him and that it was urgent for him to call 800-250-7949. She gave me a claim #15134. I asked her what firm is she with. She said the documents were sealed so she didn't know which firm. She asked me how soon can I get in contact with my husband and I told her soon. She said so consider him served then hung up. These people are unreal how they scare people with claims and demands and lawfirms. This needs to stop.

I've actually received calls from a call today from a Monica Perez saying I have a claim against me. She called 5 times in an hour from  (907) 341-4969 and within her voicemail the number  (800) 250-7169 was given. Also at the end of the voicemail was the lovely "You've been notified!" They've also got my parents freaked out by calling then first.

If you call that number the robo-greeter  ID them as "Central Services" '.   Most likely debt collectors.  No idea where they are located, by I suspect they are an off-shore group located in the Caribbean.  Ignore and block the number.

    In any event,
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
