- CBCalls my house every hour from this and other numbers (13-374-4300 & 602-221-6136) starting at 8:01 a.m. until 8:59 p.m. trying to collect on a Chase student loan for one of my children. This student loan was supposed to be deferred until six months after graduation. My child is STILL IN COLLEGE and is only a junior and they are already trying to collect. They have been very rude and argumentative and refuse to listen to anything you try to tell them. I have repeatedly requested that they stop harrassing me and they said they will continue to call us until they get a checking account number. They don't even care that my child is still in college and have refused proof of enrollment.

- not a chase member/customerI am not sure why they are calling me, but if you do answer...recording plays "please stay on line" for several loops. I actually stayed on the line for a bit to get them to stop calling! Every hour on the hour. Up until 9:00 pm. Different numbers sometimes (Chase/JPMorgan Chase/Unavailable). Wow. They seriously need to learn better business means.

- college library not a customerThe college library I work at has been receiving calls from 8135843017. On the caller ID it shows up as CHASE. When I picked up the phone had an automated message that said Please Hold while I connect your call.
When a person did answer, they didn't speak English. I told them this is a college library. They laughed and repeated what they said. The phone line had a lot of noise and I could hear many people in the background talking on other phone lines.
I think this may be a scam. If it isn't, it sounds like their collections agency isn't doing a good job. I do use Chase as my bank and will report this to them. - Charles| 2 repliesThis is Chase. We are calling to inform you that your account is past due. We received your request of a hardship deferrment and it has been denied.
I told these folks I would lose my job if they did not stop harrassing me. They flat told me they did not care. They said all their concern was is the loan outstanding and they would continue to call until it was paid.
Well, with not job now, GOOD LUCK!- Caller: Not given

- Charles| 1 replyI would like to add that I have been making monthly payments and have tried to juggle my apartment, truck, and family life on 18 hours a month and still not default.
Seems to me that Chase, Sallie Mae, and every college entity simply does not care about the human side of life. I am too still in College as a Teacher and I have a Masters in Education.
Times are bad all round for employment.
Collection companies are people who profit by making your life a living hell. They do not want to help you but rather work to destroy you.
I have tried for the last three months to keep afloat on my loans but when I told them about my company threatening to fire me if the calls didn't stop, they increased the frequency of the calls.
I now get a call every 2 hours all day long 7 days a week and I just got one 5 minutes ago.
Am I the only one who sees an issue here?- Caller: Not given

- Stine replies to CharlesDon't worry, Charles. Just know that you aren't alone.
They seriously need to reevaluate their collection process. - David G.Usually calls 1-3 times a day from 813-584-3017 let it go to voice mail but didn't leave one. Called the number back and it rang once then was forwarded to the Chase Student Loan system(same system if you call the number listed under contact us on www.cslservicing.com). I spoke to someone in collections and my loan is only 11 days late. I did some research before I gave them any information, seems legit.

- CaroleYep....different phone numbers....have to tell them the same thing...and yes....IF THEY WILL LISTEN. I pay my son's account (I'm one month behind, but they start calling one day late)...my son has called and given me "authorization to discuss the account" but I still get a "I can't talk to you....where can your son be reached?"....I insist that if I am giving them a payment they are very glad to speak with me....but, jeez....they won't listen about "when" I'll be making the payment..."I can't discuss it with you"...but if I spit out an account number....I get their attention. VERY difficult to deal with....and YES...calls over and over and over again!!!! From others above....perhaps I should just be glad it's only every 2 to 3 hours. If that's a blessing??? Hmmmm.....my phone is ringing....do you suppose?

- MichaelI get calls from this number and (713) 584-3017 about 3-4 times per day. I never answer, which seems to make them call less frequently, if everyone else's testimonials are anything to go by. I'm working to secure a job so I can have my loans in good standing again, and just don't have the time or energy to be harassed.

- jefflol yeah i'm getting calls from them non stop as well. i missed a payment and can't make another one for another few weeks. i told one of them that calling me non stop doesn't put any money in my bank account any faster, and they just sat there for a minute like thier brain was frozen for a second trying figure out what that meant LOL
i am also - and this is interesting - in the process of getting notices (the first was from chase) that they have sold my loans to the dept. of education and just got another one today from some other company that the other company will now be servicing my loans. yet chase continues to call twice an hour and when i talked to one of them they had no idea what i was talking about.
i could tell this organization was a complete cluster f*ck from the very beginning of dealing with them to get my loans lol- Caller: CHASE

- SW replies to CharlesYou should contact consumer debt protection. Once you inform them that they are not allowed to call you job, they are legally able to stop. From that point keep a diary of every time they call you at work- date, time, what was said. If severe enough, they could have to pay you damages
- kjdckcI've gotten two calls and will call them on Monday but I DON'T HAVE a student loan or any loan with them. I have my checking account with them and my credit card which is up to date with payments. possibly they are calling for the person that owned the phone number prior to me - I've had it 7 months. this will be interesting. I've been planning to leave Chase anyway and go with a smaller bank or a credit union and this will probably prompt me to do it quicker

- anonChase Student Loans. I get a call from them at least once a week even though I don't have a loan with them. I spoke with someone and informed them of this - filled out the necessary paperwork - but I still continue to get calls from them. The calls are always late at night and always on a different night.

- anonymousChase Student Loans. I have been getting calls from them about 4-5 times per day on my cell phone while at work, they never leave a message. I was behind on my payment but just got current within the past few days, but they continue to call. When I actually spoke to someone, I told them that I made a payment the previous day that had gotten me caught up. The lady said they would continue to call until the payment was posted to the account, usually 1-3 days. I even provided her with the confirmation # given after making the payment. In the past they denied my deferrment and forebearance after I had lost my job, but I continued to make my payments. When I called to question why I had been denied, the lady told me I should find a job and then I wouldn't have to worry about it. I turned them in to consumer debt protection and received an apology letter from Chase- which I put in the shredder. Whoever runs this company should be fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- james2355 replies to Charleswrite a letter (not email or phone call) to your local and federal senator and house reps. tell them your situation, even if you have been able to clear it up by now. If their actions did cause you to lose your job, and you told them they could not call you at work, (verbal works for 10 days and must be followed by written notification) you could have legal grounds for compensatory damages from Chase AND the debt collector company.
They depend on terrorism of debtors to collect, but there are laws that punish them severely if they cross the line, and they often do.
Debt collectors take the attitude of "so sue me, we have a million lawyers just waiting for something to do." the will tie up the case with motions, delays, rescheduling, but hang in there and the courts could make all the time spent worth your while.
just a thought - SKI get these calls on my cell phone non-stop. They never leave a voice mail. When i do answer I sit on hold forever and never get a person. For the record... I have NO student loan with Chase... In fact, I have NOTHING through Chase. I used my home phone to call them back to complain and was told my cell phone did not appear on their call list so there was nothing they could do for me.. Annoying..... Has anyone had any luck stopping these unwanted calls.

- jsThere are laws that protect consumers from harassing collection calls. You can research this information by googling FDCPA or Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

- ARThis is ironic. I wanted to do some research to find out who was behind this 813-584-3017 number that has been harassing my phone non-stop for the past 2 weeks. I found this site and as I'm reading through all these posts, completely relating to these situations, my cell phone rings displaying a "restricted" in the caller id. I pick up and it's Chase student loan company. Guess they gave up using the 813-584-3017 number. I spoke to a representative, who was actually pleasant, and set up a date for my student loan payment. -___-

- CathieI don't answer any phone calls that come from an area code that I don't recognize as local. Therefore these folks can call all they want, they won't get me. Also, I never give my work phone number to creditors.
