I got an anonymous call to my business line (519 area code) on May 8, just after 8 am.  I have our voip.ms account set up so that people that call our business line with anonymous caller-ID info get a recording saying that "we don't accept calls from callers using anonymous caller ID - so call us back on another line or turn off your caller-ID blocking".  I set that up the day before because we got a call from someone claiming to be with Penn State University wanting to know the name of the president of our company.  I didn't know the call had anonymous caller ID until I checked afterwards.  So the next day (May 8) first call just after 8 am - anonymous.    11 seconds later, another call, but caller ID is 8142040470.  Call lasts 30 seconds, no idea what they're doing in our phone system.  Two more calls over the next 3 minutes from them, again they're spending 30 seconds to a minute in our phone system.  So that's May 8.  I block the 814-204-XXXX number at that point.   Today another "anonymous" call, except this time my caller-ID record shows "unavailable" instead of "anonymous".  12 seconds later, another call, but caller-ID is 814-204-0470.  So it's clear that who-ever is behind that number will first set their caller ID to anonymous or unavailable, and if you're blocking those calls they will switch and turn on their caller ID.   I tried calling that number just now, and it just rings and rings.

Caller is Mike from Gannon University.  Asking for the president of our company by name.  I am the gate keeper of all calls.  Mike refuses to tell me why he is calling (this is the 2nd time he has called).  I informed him that he needs to tell me what he is calling in reference to before he can be put through.  My guess is that they are calling for sponsorship or advertising.

Called 11/19/2021 with caller ID showing "Velocity" number 814-204-0470.  Would not disclose nature of the call.  Asked for business staff involved with a location.  Would not say what company they were with.

Asked to be be removed from their call list and was cutoff and the guy hung up.  If someone can't disclose the nature of the call they are a giant sloth turd.

Received call on 5/16/22 with caller ID showing "Velocity" number 814-204-0470. The caller asked a series of generic questions about our company, did provide any specific information about the nature of their call.

Call comes up (V) 814-204-0470 "Frankie" from PennState keeps calling our business line asking to speak to the owner.  Will not give me specifics other than to say " we do alot of business with you" when I ask what the call is regarding.  www.psu.edu is warning of this scam.  "Frankie" hangs up whenever I go to transfer him to anyone other than the owner.

Called today. Would not provide information. Got confused when I explained our business. Wanted to speak to Executive Director, Director, Supervisor etc. Would not give his name. Stated they do Penn State's Football yearbooks LOL What a mook
