Got a text from this number saying they found me through indeed.com (my info isn’t publicly available on that site) wanting to know if I was interested in a part time personal assistant job.

Same as above.  The text says it is from Chadwick Hansen and lists his email as chadwickhansen000@gmail.com.

New day, new scam. - Text message -  "Job Offer..D&M Research Group are presently in your area to evaluate stores now work from home, this program takes 20 to 30 minutes of your time weekly and you earn $400 per assignment at your leisure time to evaluate the selected store, if interested kindly click the link <redacted> for more information on the survey..Best Regards and stay Safe."  Secret shopper scam, you won't see a penny, their checks will bounce after you send them money for "overpaying" you.

Got this same message from “Chadwick”. My number isn’t listed on indeed and anyone who has actually contacted me has done so through the site itself.

I received a text message from someone that pretends to be Chadwick Hansen, it said that my contact was found on indeed.com and asked to e-mail at chadwickhansen000@gmail.com for more details. So weird. Indeed never contact this way. Researching the name, it appears to be an author, the number is 830-486-2458. Also shows that it is from the web. Be careful.

I got the same message from Chadwick Hansen and it seems to be messing with my email. I also did not list my information publicly. I think we need to email indeed regarding a hack.

Indeed has nothing to do with it and they weren't "hacked".  They simply send texts out to everyone figuring someone will have a profile on that website.

Job Scam:

How can you tell if this job offer is a scam?

1.  All communication is by e mail, text, or instant message, very rarely by phone conversation.
2.  There is no personal interview, or sometimes no interview at all, or they might want to do the interview by instant messenger or Skype.
3.  It is a work at home position many times because the office in your area is not built, rented, or established yet, or it is a pet sitting or home care job usually for a disabled child.
4.  The job is for an area that you are obviously not qualified for, or they want to immediately put you in a “managers” position, executive assistant, personal assistant, etc.  The job requires you to sell something even though you have no experience, such as insurance or it requires you to sell something to other people and then recruit them to sell for you (multilevel marketing aka Ponzi scheme).
5.  You need a bank account to receive and deposit checks (money laundering), or you need to receive packages and resend them (illegal contraband). You need to receive checks and repackage them and resend them (mail fraud), or you need to send checks out to people (part of the Craigslist scam, again you can be charged with mail fraud among other things).
6.  They will send you a check for an amount well over what you should be getting and tell you that you need to deposit the check and send the money through some way such as Western Union or Greendot money card to pay for something they should be paying for themselves.  Take the check and the envelope it came in to the post office and have them forward it to the postal inspectors.
7.  They will ask you to pay for something upfront, such as office supplies (which of course have to bought from their supplier), or in the case of acting or modeling, will tell you that you need to pay for "head shots", or other type pictures up front (again from their photographer) in order to be eligible.
8.  The pay and benefits are way beyond anything you would normally earn, or the benefits are totally unbelievable as to vacation, sick pay, etc.

I got a text from Chadwick Hansen using the number 240-904-3249.  Everything described here is exactly the same, only the phone number is different.  I posted my alert under the 240 phone number but wanted to note it here as well.

I am not on indeed nor is my phone public.  Scam on feb 26/2021.  He’s still at it.

Same but received an email from "Chadwick Hansen"

He emailed me sent me his number and basically claims he was having lung surgery couldn’t call sent photos of someone his snail said jordencoredo but name Chadwick Hansen

Received and email from Chadwick Hansen saw my profile on indeed. Asked about my interest in remote or personal assistant opportunities. Something didn't quite sit right with me so instead of just ignoring ( i did block the sender)What makes this disturbing to me is what I found when I searched "Chadwick Hansen" in Google. First results were books about witchcraft written by someone with that same name but passed away many years ago. Had to scroll down the search results quite a bit before finally arriving here seeing the same name being mentioned from getting info off indeed. Emailed me from jeffpetersen1001@gmail.com
