The caller wanted to know about over payment of medicare/medicaid payments.  I told them I was still working and didn't collect.  They said that's all they needed to know and hung up.  I called the number back and got a voice mail that didn't give any identifying name but said if I wanted to be removed from their survey .......  Sounds like a Medicare/Medicaid Scam.  Does anyone know how to report this scam?
I also looked up this number and it is a landline out of the Ft.Worth area

Several ways.  One is they use a sequential dialer that just starts with xxx-xxx-0001 and dials all numbers in sequence.  Another way is that employers are providing all sorts of information to Equifax for an employment verification database.  Just about any contact information you employer has for you is in that database.  Also, if this is indeed a market research firm and not selling anything, they are exempt from the national Do Not Call rules.

I decided to answer the call and they knew my last name.  They said they weren't trying to sell us anything and was not with insurance company.  Wanted to be sure my husband's Medigap premium was not more than $137.   Which it isn't.  He wanted to know if he was getting it through his former employer or went out and got it on his own.  Went through an insurance agent to get it.  I really didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the rest of what he said, but he was very cordial and thanked me for my time.  I usually don't mess with these kinds of calls but I did this time.  I just wish I remembered the rest of what he said, and that I had asked him questions.  Oh well.  He won't be calling back as he said.  If anyone gets a call from them again, drill them with questions and let us know.

It's called American Senior Benefits.  Go to glassdoor.com and search for them and read the reviews.

Sounds pretty scammy to me.  I young woman named "Kimberly" called.  She knew my last name, but mispronounced it.  She said she wanted to send me some FREE information about my existing Medicare Supplement.  I told her I was not interested and to please take me off their calling list.  Then she asked if I HAD a Medicare Supplement.  That's when I hung up and blocked the number.

They appear to be selling supplements, but they sure use deceitful methods.  My advice is to stay a mile away.

Unlike many folks, I answer strange calls because I have fraud alerts on my credit reports at all three credit reporting agencies, and I never know if the call will be related to an unauthorized attempt to open an account in my name or not.  I give out absolutely NO personal information. As soon as I determine it is a telemarketer, etc.,, I merely tell them I'm not interested, hang up, and add the number to my call block listings.  33 numbers and counting.....    Thanks Panasonic!
