I recently got a call from a guy  and was telling that he is from IRS and we owe over 1k and we have to pay him within 45 minute by money transfer otherwise he will send warrant to my home.  I said will get a lawyer and call you if we owe any money. The guy had a thick Indian accent please be careful and dont give any info to him/her.

I got a robo call claiming he was with IRS.  I called back and asked for id number and department he was with so I could check things out and give his information to the IRS agent I have worked with.  He hung up!!!

I got the same exact call. Thank god I read these posts because my mom almost transferred the money. This is a Scam. The guy wanted us to go to Walgreens to transfer money to him. If you call the number back there is no computer, someone picks up right away. This is guy needs to be reported. Please be careful!

This transcribed message was on my machine.  The call said on Caller Id as Montrose, CA.  Message:
"Peterson calling you from the Internal Revenue Service tax crime
investigation unit. And this will be the last and final notification call to
you. I was we're-trying to reach you since months and months but you are
not responding to us. So finally as we have received some legal
affidavit and charges against you in regards to the taxation fraud. We're
about to issue a warrant against you and we're about to proceed legally. So
I'd like to talk to your lawyer or to you and a very urgent basis on
8182754768. I repeat it's 8182754768. Do not disregard this message and do
return the call. Goodbye

Sorry but I will ignore the call. It's a scam. You're probably the scammer trying to cover up and wanting people to call you back. Not going to happen. That person is a scammer and has been reported.

I got the same message from the same number, I sent a complaint to the FTC, I suggest others do the same

Got the same message, called them back and some one names Austin Jones picked up the phone and on the Saturday morning I gave him a peace of mind. The dude has an Indian accent and me an Indian myself then switched to Hindi (Indian National Language) and poured in with some lovable words.

God knows why the hell they try to copy an accent when we all know it is not possible. Bunch of low lives......

We also got a call from this phone number today. First call it was a recording but I knew it wasn't a recording. Then I called back and the guy answered. I could tell this guy was indian. Please do not pay these crooks. If you owed IRS they would contact you in writing they would never call your home. All of their communication is done through writing in mail.

This Indian called me gave me his badge number  told me I was gonna b arrested that I owed 2 thousand  dollars then I started asking questions he Hung up his name he said was johnathan lee

A heavy accented Indian guy left a message Jan. 31 and Feb. 1  but I doubted him right a way cuz if it is really legit then IRS should send me a written message so I could provide whatever documents needed. I am picked at random, I am not alone. Thanks for posting.

Kayla, I got the call today from the same number and the accent of the caller was definitely not Indian. I know what Indian accent is because I am an Indian American. So don't just put label. That is too bad. The call is from Burbank area, and you can go on internet to find from where call originated.

I got the same call.. but he had my old address on file and I moved 3 years ago and have been doing tax since...
I told him the fact that you have my address wrong proves that this is not a legit call.. I hang up!

this number keeps calling insisting tax fraud. I have asked him not to call my cell phone back but to no avail ,he calls twice a week.. Please help me to make him stop.
