    Smarter than the scammer
Received an email from tylerhassen96@gmail.com telling me my personal subscription with the geek squad was expiring today. Meanwhile, I don’t have one and haven’t even made a purchase at Best Buy in many years. It went on to tell me my maintenance plan was going to auto-renew and charge $249 to my checking account. At the end, it said to call 818-275-7731 directly since the email is only for notification.

I’m sorry, but I don’t have stupid written on my forehead. I truly hope people don’t get caught up in this scam and give out their personal information. So many scammers are out there ripping people off.  Imagine how this world would be if they focused all of that time and energy on doing good things instead??

I also received the same email. I've never had a subscription to Geek Squad and as the other person stated i too have not purchased anything from Best Buy in years.  This is so annoying that worthless losers have nothing better to do than try to scam people of their hard working money.

I just received an email that my Norton anti virus subscription for my phone is being renewed and to call that same number or to log into my Norton account. I checked the Norton website and the number did NOT match. The email that i received the email didn't match any account with Norton. They had a pretty convincing "invoice" but we live in a world with a simple search engine that can fact check ANYONE. I do enjoy telling scammers off on the phone but today I choose peace not drama.

This phone number is tied to a phishing attempt. Claims to be Norton, or GeekSquad, or Amazon, etc etc - you may get an email showing you will be, or have been, billed for something, but you can "call to cancel". They want you to call so they can steal your banking information - which you'd have to give them so they could 'find your order' or 'refund your money', of course. Total scam.

Sent an email "invoice" saying i supposedly bought $500USD worth of Bitcoin over Paypal.
"If you've had a change of heart, we're sorry to hear that. While we can't modify your order, you can cancel it by calling our
    Customer Service Number."
They clearly want you to call the number to scam you. Almost got me for a second.
