No message left on answering machine.
This is a Northridge CA number.

Hi I am from Arkansas and have been receiving calls from this number for the last two weeks. They will speak at the beginning of the call, however, the speech is so fast and unexpected that it is not coherent. What is the purpose of this call, is it like an exchange where they are using my number to call somewhere else? How do I get this stopped? Even if nothing funny is going on it is just plain annoying. Thanks for any help I can get.

GOT A CALL AROUND 12:57 ON 8/6/07 AT MY HOUSE NUMBER.  THE PERSON (WOMAN) ON THE OTHER END WAS SPEAKING VERY FAST AND WITH A HEAVY ACCENT.  THEY INQUIRED ABOUT A BALANCE OF $7000.00????? ASKING IF I WAS STILL MAKING A PAYMENT THAN HUNG UP, I *69 AND A GENTLEMAN ANSWERED THE PHONE "HELLO." WHEN I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS CALLING FROM A BUSINESS HE STUMPLED OVER HIS WORDS AND THEN HUNG UP..  PEOPLE OUT THERE SCAMMING, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS, GET A LIFE!!!!!!

I got a call from this number minutes after I posted a room for rent on CraigsList. It kept calling and hanging up.
I called it and got a heavily accented woman in a very noisy (telemarketing?) room. I couldn't understand a word she said. She asked me for my phone number.

I received a call from this number at 7:00PM 1/10/08.  The woman on the other end spoke very fast and also with a heavy accent.  After a few minutes, my wife said, "I do not want a vacation package".  I yelled, "WE ARE ON THE NO CALL LIST AND TO HANG UP ON THE JERK".  
The person on the other end hung up on my wife.
I tried to call back to give them my 2 cents.  "all circuits are busy" was the taped response.
These people should be shut down and be given a room in a greay bar hotel.

Got the call - no one there - the line was silent. I always hang up if no one answers rightaway since it usally a call made by a machine/computer and the pause is when their telephone system is getting person online.

DON'T PRESS +67! - I usally don't call back either since alot of these calls will connect you to a 900 pay number and bill an out-of-sight $ amount for the callback.

instead of checking out your avertisement "reverse lookup" + pay $39.95 for the "privledge" - just report the call to your phone company's operator as an deceptive/abusive call and let the FBI handle it.

Additional information - this number has been hi-jacked from an unassigned/unused phone number in Pomona CA The site that has hi-jacked it is from the 45, 46, 47 & 48 country codes and the basic website that is hi-jacking the numbers is the world-wide-web link "www.ldd.go.th/mordin/" or ค้นหาข้อมูลจาก รหัสหมอดิน in its native keyboard. The low-tech text board (shown below) also is for manual usage by person entered "alternate numbers" in sequence. The computer calls the number then someone must "answer" (be connected to) when you are call back. regardless of weither or not you buy their product or say "yes" they simply want you to *69 or call the number back so they can charge you for their "services". If you are billed for the incoming call, contact your local phone company and "reverse the charges" and explain why you want to do so.

Same story-- Asks for me by name; the heavily accented woman calls asks me about my unsecured debt- says she's calling from "something, something, Federal Goverment"  Asks me if I have a credit card- i say yes- she asks me how much my debt is for- i say $17. She hangs up.  Very VERY creepy woman!!!
