The call was made by Luebke Baker & Associates, a collection agency working for a magazine subscription.

I've been looking up a bunch of numbers from my caller ID today and it appears these same people call from a bunch of different phone numbers and area codes and always have a different tag show up on caller ID. Creepy.

You are right.  They call from 801-618-2002, 732-218-3621, and 732-218-3622.  They call but don't wait to long before the answering or voice mail picks up.  When I answered there was nothing just background noise as if someone is moving around just listening.  Let's see if they call again and I will give them an earful.

Forgot to mention don't fall for them since they are scammers trying to get your money.  They are a scavenger collection agency who bought old accounts which may have been paid but they are trying to collect.

Got a call from this 818-450-5603 number earlier this evening.  They were trying to collect $200+ from me.  They seem to REALLY want money.  Where the hell did these [***] come from?!

yea they have called me with the number 615 372 2999 one time that i answered they claimed i owed $500 in magazine subscriptions in which i did not buy. they will not stop calling me.

they call my cell all the time. I called it back once some lady answered the phone but I couldn't hear what she said there were to many kids screaming in the back ground.. not only that if their bill collectors I don't give my cell phone to magazine subscriptions, I buy mags from the store that way I can preview it before I buy to see if I'm even gonna read it.

About two weeks ago, these [***] started calling me every day.

I keep getting these calls all the time and I'm at work when they call so my phone is always going off.

Yeah, they keep calling me and telling them I owe money for this "magazine company"

PS The magazine company DOES NOT EXIST. We keep paying them money and our name is still in "collections" but they dont even exist. That's the end of that.

The first call was from 801-618-2002. That was 2 weeks ago. Every day it's someone new. Today it was 818-450-5603. I keep telling them as politely as possible that they have the wrong Dan. Today Carmella hung up after I told her this. I'm hoping this puts an end to it. If not, who can I notify?

I received four calls from these jerks in one day. I answered on the last two and they hung up on me. I figured if they wouldn't talk to me I would call them. A woman did answer and after giving them my number they let me know they were looking for some woman I have never heard of. The woman said she would remove my number from their call list.

Called five times in one day. I called the number back and asked who they were looking for. It was my wife they were looking for, so after getting the info from them they said some bogus address where she supposedly lived and ordered magazines....total crap. I told them you have the wrong person, stop calling. They called back three more times, once I talked to them again AND my wife told them to stop calling. Lots of screaming or crying in the background. Very strange.

Keeping a log of these annoying calls will allow you to file a complaint (www.donotcall.gov). And if enough people complain, maybe . . . the FTC and FCC will find a way to shut them down.  Better yet, maybe a big fine!  Its not hard to file a complaint.... and you'll feel better.

Someone calls from this number 2 or 3 times a day. I get calls from 2 other numbers as well. 866-774-3945 (800 Service) and 732-218-3633 (Woodbridge, IL). I have looked up all three numbers on this site and all the comments I have read say it is Luebke Baker. I answered the 732 number once and they said that I owed for magazines ordered back in 2001 and that I had paid 2 payments on them. Well, I was out of work in 2001 and wouldn't have any way to pay for magazines but even if I could pay for them, I wouldn't order magazines. Thank goodness for caller ID because I usually just ignore the calls.

I answered one time, and now, these [***] won't stop calling.  I, literally, mean won't stop.  They call about 4-5 times A [***] DAY!!!  I NEVER pick up anymore.  I thought they were potential employers, since I have been applying.

I am getting the same phone calls! And they are RUDE! How do I get them to stop?

We got a call from 818-450-5603, a woman identifying herself as "Janie."
She said she was calling for debt collection, because we'd ordered several magazines, including "U.S. News and World *Wide* Report." That was my first clue. Then, when she said the call was being monitored, I told her we also record calls. That seemed to confuse her. We'll see if she calls back.

Leading up to this, we were getting 4-5 calls a week that would just go to voicemail and leave a dial tone. They were different numbers.

This # has been calling me 4-5 times a day as well!!  It's usually when I'm at work when I can't answer, but just now it rang.  Lucky for whoever it was I was in the middle of a workout and didn't answer.  They usually don't leave messages but this time it was a woman with rap music playing in the background, I forget what she said her name was, but she said it was "very important" that I call her back.  Riiight.

Called at approx 4:50pm on my wife's PRIVATE CELLULAR number.
Did not lv any msg on voicemail.  SCUM!!
