They have called twice with no vm...blocked

answered call and they immediately hung up.

Answered and it was a robo call about having my auto warranty expire and if you would like to speak with someone about it press 1.  I didn't press anything and it finally hung up.  Tried calling back but it just kept ringing and finally hung up.  Blocked the # and will see how it goes.

It's a scam.  When asked how they got my unlisted number I was told they get all their calling numbers right off the govt "do not call list".  That list has become a real joke!

1.  Engage your brain for a while.  Is a list of people who do not want to be called really  a good source of numbers for telemarketers?

Try very hard to understand this:

The Do Not Call list works as intended!
LEGITIMATE telemarketers obey the Do Not Call regulations

So, if you got a call from a supposed telemarketer, and if you are registered on the DNC list, what does that tell you?

Hint:
Can you spell "scammer"?

Hint #2 (if you need it)
Can you spell "criminal"?

And, a tough one:
Can you spell "illegitimate"

What else should you know?

• The DNC List is NOT a call blocker!  It is not a magic switch that intercepts calls to your phones!
• Criminals habitually and repeatedly disobey laws.

The Answer!

If you want to reduce calls from spammers and scammers, or prevent second calls from the same numbers, get a real call blocker.  Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.
