Got a message from a live person name Lucia or Lucinda, something like that.  She merely said she was calling about my resume found online and wants to set up an appointment with her manager.  The call came in around noon, yesterday 5/11/12.  She didn't say what company she was calling from, what position is open, or her manager's name.  The Caller ID said "Unknown Name".

Sounded like she was reading from a script.  I got a similar call just 2 days earlier from a "Mary" at Bankers from (818) 666-3211. The Caller ID said "Charmaine Marry".  She too said she was calling about my resume found on the "EDD list" (must mean CALJOBS) and is setting up a "job interview."  In my experience, legitimate companies don't mention the word "interview" until they at least TALK to you first, then tell you the details of the position.

Both calls sound like the ones I used to get from places like TransAmerica, a "pyramid scheme."

Check out the posts for (818) 666-3566 and (818) 666-3575.  Sounds like they are all of the same company (Bankers) or BS scam.  I am not calling her back as my gut says it is not a "real" position.  It's depressing to be out of work so long and to only get these kinds of calls, not real employers.

I live in Porter Ranch. I too am out of work and looking for a *real* job. I just got a call from someone named Mary? at (818) 666-3211 offering me an interview and possibly a job selling something like life insurance or the like. She asked me about my management experience. Said she was from Bankers or something like that. Like the previous caller says it was very hard to understand her, I suspect she uses a cheap Skype free account, not even a real cell phone. What a giveaway!! Calls from India are usually a lot clearer!! I made the appointment to see the company but I will not show up. I might call her back and give her hell about the bad quality of the phone call, though. Duh, how stupid can these people get.

I got the same BS phone from Lucinda about the company seeing my resume online and wanted to offer me a interview at the office. It was about selling retirement Insurance and some other kind of Insurance. I told her I was a graphic designer and only Interested in what I know. I asked her a few more questions and she said I would have to go to the Interview to find out more. What a Croc!!!

I also get a lot of phone calls and emails from posting my resume online with Monster, Indeed and Simply Hired asking me if i want to sell life insurance and I'm a graphic designer. That's the last thing I want to do.
