Yesterday I got a call from (818) 666-3211, from someone name Mary.  The Caller ID said "Charmaine Marry" on it.  She sounded like she was reading from a script, saying she found my name on the "EDD list" (must mean CALJOBS).  She said she was calling about a "job interview". No details about what position they want to "interview" me for.   In my past experience, legitimate companies don't use the word "interview" before they at least TALK to you first.  I couldn't understand her accent, but it sounded like she was from "Bankers" which I never heard of.

I see this is one of those insurance sales jobs or maybe a "pyramid scheme."  I couldn't find anything on the number with the word "scam" in it, but I don't feel comfortable and will not call back.  My gut told me it was one of those calls, even before I looked it up.

Been out of work a long time, and it's demoralizing & depressing to get these kinds of calls instead of calls about real jobs.  I looked up the company and it says you can "be your own boss" and make 6 figures....They also call from (818) 666-3575, see the posts on this site.

Got a call about 3 weeks ago with "Unknown Name" and no message from (818) 666-3566.  Probably the same company.

Yes - got the same call three times today once from this number and two more from an 818-200-XXXX number. Yes it's a scam - they called me a few months ago and when I pressed her for what position she was referring to she couldn't answer me, also couldn't tell me WHO is was she was working for. Complete scam.

BTW does the woman calling have an Indian accent? The same woman continues to call even though I have asked "Marie" to take my number off her list.

Yes, she had an Indian accent.  Or a heavy one of some kind.

Also got calls from (818) 666-3008 and (818) 666-3009.  No message, but the calls came 4 hours apart, on Memorial Day.,  One said "Carl Rolinda" and the other "Chris Rolinda.:

(818) 666-3080 also called with someone name Lucia or Lucinda.  She left a message, and the script was the same as the one from "Mary" above, found my resume online and calling for her manager.  The call came in 2 days later!  Didn't say WHO they were, who her manager was, what the position was!  When I called the number, I got a voice mail saying, "The customer you are calling is not available."  WTF?

I would think legitimate companies would have someone's voice mail saying,for example,  "You've reached Mary in the Loans Dept at Wells Fargo."  All these calls have the same prefix of 666, and last four numbers start with 3.  Got to all be from the same place.

I get them too.  I have been out of work a little over 2 years now.  Layed off.  Don't live in Ca. n oe but still have an 818 area code.    Hey, doesn't 666 tell you something?  BTW I don't answer my phone unless I know the person and the number calling.   Saves a lot of trouble.
