Call from 'Bankers'...probably insurance sales job offer. I have my resume online & these are the crap calls I get...grrrrr....

Ditto. Applying for jobs online is less efficient and more counter-productive than it was when we had to snail mail them or drop off resumes in person. All you get are crap leads, tons of spam and solicitations to spend money that you obviously don't have.

I think this is the same number I got a call from about 3 weeks ago; I know it was the (818) area code and a 666 prefix.  It said "Unknown Name", no message.

Yesterday I got a call from (818) 666-3211, from someone name Mary.  The Caller ID said "Charmaine Marry" on it.  She sounded like she was reading from a script, saying she found my name on the "EDD list" (must mean CALJOBS).  She said she was calling about a "job interview". No details about what position they want to "interview" me for.   In my past experience, legitimate companies don't use the word "interview" before they at least TALK to you first.  I couldn't understand her accent, but it sounded like she was from "Bankers" which I never heard of.

I see this is one of those insurance sales jobs or maybe a "pyramid scheme."  I couldn't find anything on either number with the word "scam" in it, but I don't feel comfortable and will not call back.  My gut told me it was one of those calls, even before I looked it up.

I agree with the above posts above.  Been out of work a long time, and it's demoralizing & depressing to get these kinds of calls instead of calls about real jobs.  I looked up the company and it says you can "be your own boss" and make 6 figures....

I am on the DNC and this company has been stealing data of of resume sites and harrasing people/me.

they are unlicensed telemarketers setting appointments for Bankers Insurance.

I have asked to be removed but It will not stop as I have been informed, as long as you are looking for work and your resume is online they will call you!

This number looks familiar, as I think I got a hang up call from them last week.  The ID said "Unknown Name."

ScottChu is right; I remember in the "old days" before this online crap, the only people who had your info was the company you applied to.  You either called, snail-mailed your resume, or walked in to apply.  I never got any bogus or scam phone calls; no such thing as e-mail then---hence no spam e-mail!!!!  No Unknown Callers or Unknown Names.  No Caller ID...

These people prey on the unemployed, I'm sure.  I bet people who are working don't get these calls as often.
